I'd love to see Carolina win, and I'll be rooting for them. I always root for the NFC team in the Super Bowl because that's the Packers conference. I'd never vote for the Eagles though. As this rate, I'm never going to have to worry about that. :p -Pat

They earned it with a better record

By four points, and since then they've improved a hellva fuckin' lot [even though they still didn't lose by much]. And they lost by ten points, and in the storm... Without the advantage, imagine how smaller that ten points would be. Really, the Colts would have won. Originally posted by plawrence: It is an imense advantage, but hardly an unfair one. They earned it with a better record I said it was borderline unfair. It was called right, etc., but the snow just gave the Pats almost too much of an advantage. Sure, weather should never be an excuse -- and I'm not saying the Pats are horrible. They played great, but alot of the reason WAS because they played in a snow storm, that's all I'm saying. Do you think the Colts would have played that bad if it wasn't a snow storm -- if it was a neutral stadium? Fuck no -- not in a million years. It's hard for a warm-weather team to adapt to that, and it has nothing to do with how good they are. That Pats wouldn't be as good as they are in snow if they didn't practice in it all the time, no matter how good they are. What are the Colts supposed to do, practice in a freezer? Sure, the Pats played well, but a big advantage was the snow, hands down.

Maybe not practice in a freezer, but they play 16 freaking days out of a year. Would it kill the sissies to go to a cold weather climate during practice, and yes, practice in blizzard like conditions. Football is played in winter months. If those fucking millionaires can't adapt to the playing conditions then only cold weather places should have football teams.

But I think the Colts improved alot more than the Pats did. I mean, just look at how well Manning was doing. And even in the playoffs, while the Pats were struggling against the Titans, the Colts were in complete control with both the Cheifs and the Broncos. Sure, the Colts only beat the Cheifs by a touchdown -- but they were a step ahead of them every step of the way. Everytime the Cheifs hit, the Colts hit back, and twice as hard. I just think the Colts improved more, and had it not been for a snow storm, the Colts could have outdone the Pats.
