Go Manhattan, Go JG. I just checked the score. WOW. Go back in this thread to 11:06. I posted my first upset -- Manhattan. I notice I'm the only one with Pittsburgh to win. The year of Kraut-Mick....LOOK OUT.

I know you're excited Beth but, Turles?? Is that like Turlet, the way my grandmother used to say toilet. I can hear it now, the new slogan in College Park - Fear the Turlet.

By the way. I'll be in Turlet country this weekend. Bowie.

Let's note MaryCas has noticed the first type o of the game. I was sure it would be from FS though, not me. :p

Keeping with the theme. Go Turles!
It still doesn't beat Geoff liking "rape" though.

Don't worry, Crabby, you weren't first. Here's just one FS typo from an earlier post.

I used to think that when he spelled "damn" d-a-m that it was a typo, but after seeing it that way about 100 times, I realize that he just can't spell.

Sure pick on me. Don't worry, I can take it.
After all, if you didn't bust balls I would think that you were under the weather.

I know my spelling and typing are not good. I will not let that stop me from enjoying myself.
I just can't seem to slow down enough or take the time to check things before hitting that enter key. Oh well, such is life- Enjoy

Let them pick on us FS. They wish they had as much fun as we had down here in the basement apartment. We got all the comforts of home. I believe the Playboy channel is being hooked up next week.

Don't worry about not spellig "damm" correctly. I've got all the dirty words covered.

FS, nice jump out of the box; although a fairly conservative first round pick. Let's see if your E. Tenn St. can upset Cincy (your alma mater? or just a hunch). I'm in the crapper hanging on to the slippery side - Michigan State was my darkhorse, all the way to the final four. Now the boys are headed home to munch burgers at Wendy's and brush up on their rap....and of course crack those books.

Nice win for the Hall, especially after my team (Villanova Wildcats) bounced them out of the Big East Tourney. GO JASPERS!

That's an honor that should not go unnoticed. Life down here in the basement apartment isn't all that shabby is it? Geoff is hardly home, so it's nice to have some more company.

I am the one true crabby in this place. No matter how much that fake Crabby Black Car driver tries, he'll never be as crabby as me.

Thanks MaryCas!

Sure most first round picks are fairly conservative for everyone. Or should I say almost everyone. Some of the blame goes to the makers of the brackets. I think many people missed Manhattan beating Florida. I know I did.
I bet many missed E. Tenn. St. over Cincinnati. No not my school by the way.

Yes, Go Seton Hall. But I think that is as far as they go. Syracuse too, I am afraid. It took McNamara to play the game of his life to get by BYU I am sorry to say.

Second round will be harder and more upsets in the making. I am just happy I did well this round.

Lets see I am 3773 out of how many players? With one wrong. I will not see that great a number next round, that I am sure of.

This is gonna get confusing. Whenever I see the team name "crabby" I think it's me and I start to worry that I'm getting evicted from my basement apartment.

Now, who in their right mind would worry about this. Pee I am starting to worry about you!

Then again you are heading for the basement in this challenge.

Bethie do you have something to do with this?

Is the small head thinking for the big one again?

#12 Pacific stuns #5 Providence.

Now, where do you put this post Pee? A bit of everything.

Just to make sure that people aren't wondering what the PPR column means (because I think it is almost as significant as the points column), PPR means "Potential Points Remaining". For example, if Spike's picks are correct from here on out all the way to the finals, he will amass 1600 points. If JG is correct from here on out, he will score 1570. As the games are played and people start losing Sweet 16, Elite 8, and Final 4 teams, the PPR will start decreasing. The ones with the highest PPR as the game moves along will have the best chance of winning.

So if someone has more points than you at this point since they picked more winners (and fewer losers), you may still have a better chance of winning because in the gamnes they lost they had projected those losing teams to go further.

In other words, suppose someone went 31-2, but their two losers were the teams that they projected to be in the finals. They would have been better off with a lot more losers, as long as their key teams were still alive.

We're gonna confuse Bethie, here.

Exactly, plaw... Not meaning to pick on Pork here, but based on PPR, Don Marco who got 23 correct in the Round 1, has a better chance of winning than Pork who had 25 correct. The ones that Pork picked wrong are the ones he projected to go out longer in the tournament.
