I did the math real quick, so I'm not 100% sure I'm correct here, but...
If you still have a team alive as the eventual winner and you have more points to date than anyone else who has the same team as the eventual winner, if your team goes all the way, you will win the whole thing.

If Duke downs ACC rival Georgia Tech for the title, Brockhaus claims the $10,000 grand prize. It's as simple as that.
I'd like to get a hold of this Linda Brockhaus, and explain to her that she should probably bet a couple of thousand each on UConn and Oke St in the next round.

Holy crap. Duke lost!! I have seen enough to know I have seen too much. I guess now I can say I'm officially out of the fantasy business.

One game left... 1 PE 820 160 2 FS 810 0 3 PG 780 0 4 BT 750 160 5 DB 730 0 6 PL 720 0 6 DM 720 0 8 MC 660 0 8 CC 660 0 10 SP 630 0 11 RB 620 0 12 JG 600 0 Championship game determines the winner between PE and BT... They both started out slow but as always the case every year - first round picks are for bragging, final four picks is where the money is won. By the way, I notice that I finished higher than PL AGAIN! :p

It was a toss-up for me between Ok St and UConn, so I went with Ok St. Hopefully it's a good game tonight.

Congrats to first & second place. I came in third, but had the most correct picks! Which still makes me third! Just as long as I finished above the crowing. You know who I am talking about.

No, who? And congrats, BGT. You should re-join the Fantasy Basketball league. A new game will be starting for the playoffs.

Everybody heap praise on badguytony, the winner of the 1st Annual GangsterBB March Madness Bracket Game. Here's a snippet of my interview with him last night... DB: So BGT, how does it feel to be the winner of the GangsterBB game? BT: It feels great. I'm more relieved than anything. I had a rough going there at the beginning, but I knew I could count on the strong back of Okefor. Haha. Everybody thought he was injured. DB: Was there ever a doubt that UConn was going to win? BT: Not one doubt. I knew they were going to give 150% last night. They took it one game at a time, one minute at a time. Nobody thought they could do it, but they showed a lot of heart and pulled it out. DB: Any thoughts on the other bracket participants? BT: First, I want to congratulate Pizzo who finished 2nd. Like me, he had a rough start but his Georgia Tech pick was one helluva pick! He doesn't say much, but he seems like a good guy. DB: Other thoughts? BT: Well, I want to congratulate you DB. DB: Me? Why? I'm a bit disappointed at finishing fifth. BT: Because you finished higher than PL, of course! I heard somewhere he's the fantasy guru around these parts. Funny though, I heard you beat him in football, baseball, basketball... DB: Plaw's a good guy. I would never make a list of the fantasy sports games I beat him in. My writing hand would get too tired! :p BT: Well, other thoughts... For Pork, I just have three words... "Seton Hall" (long pause) "Damn" (shaking head) DB: Yea, that had me shaking my head also. BT: As for FS, I'm just happy he didn't quit. I know, I know... I quit in the basketball game too, but at least I made it out of the first week! :p DB: How about Partagas? BT: He really had a strong showing at 4th place. He also gave us a lot of insight with those articles he posted up. This leads me to believe that he's a closet bracketologist in his spare time. DB: Yea, I wonder if he won some money off of any boyscouts... BT: Yep, I was wondering the same thing. I also want to give out some shout-outs to my boy, Don Marco. He showed he knew more than just Syracuse basketball. DB: And now comes the basement section of our tour... :p BT: Yep, residing in our basement is MC, Crabby, SP, RB, and we already talked about Pork. MC was the pre-tournament favorite. Good thing I didn't put any money on him. I heard he was distracted... something about golf balls and what his club was going to do... I really didn't get all of the conversation. Crabby... well... she's unique! SP and RB, I don't know much about but I bet they'll rebound next year. DB: Any final thoughts? BT: I just want to thank everyone for joining the game. Hope to see you next year. And one more thing, "Seton Hall??? Damn!"

You did a helluva job as Commissioner, DB. I can't sing your praises enough. I know you put in a lot of time and hard work in making this game the best that it could be.
I'm sure I speak for everyone here when I thank you from the bottom of my heart for starting the league, and providing all of us with the many hours of pleasure the game provided.
Now, if I may, I'd like to clear up a few misconceptions, lest anyone misunderstand where we stand in our fantasy rivalry.
Baseball: I won the first half last year. You won the second half. I finished ahead in total points. Big edge to me.
Football: We both went out the first week of the survivor game, so that doesn't count. Altho you beat me in the BDD Yahoo league, that doesn't count either, because it wasn't an ESPN game. True, you finished ahead of me in the weekly pick 'em game, but not by much. Tiny edge to you.
Pro Basketball: I won the first half. You're in the lead in the second half, but haven't won yet. I lead the race for total points by 2. Big edge for me.
College Basketball: You beat me in this game by only 10 points, but the game hardly counts for anything since a)You have to pick teams, not players, and b)They're a bunch of college teams anyway, not pros, so it means very little. Teeny-Tiny edge for you
Baseball this year: I'm off to a fast start, and while I consider you my most dangerous foe, that's only because except for LDV, the rest of the competition is so weak. I'm out in front, and expect to stay there. Big edge for me.
Golf and bass fishing haven't been decided yet. I'm studying for them now.

Pompous and bombastic? Me? Nah.
As far as shovels go, I don't think you're gonna find one big enough. We're just getting warmed up in baseball. And if BigDaddyDon joins (I don't know if it was ever mentioned, but he started 10 days late last year), then watch out.

Ha! That's good stuff Commish DB. I can't say it's all that great since I had UConn losing in the final. Oh well, I always have fun filling out brackets, whether it's for $ or not. All I gotta say for next year is... Let's go University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Panthers! I'm not sure about getting into anymore fantasy games for this last month of school for me, PL. Have three long term papers, not to mention finals. Don't worry, if I hear someone bashing the Bucks, you may hear from me.
