SC, you're good if your lineup was in before 3am. I've noticed they've been working on the site as this game is going. Click on "today" and you'll see your lineup (that option wasn't there a couple minutes ago)...

They're having some formatting problems at the moment I've noticed. Good ol' ESPN waiting 'til the last second as usual...

I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! tongue lol

Say 'ello to my Li'l Friend!

We'll see if it was a bad decision or not. I just simply could not get the offense I wanted paying $2m more for the Yanks PS. For these two games (at least for this first one), I'm considering the PS to be "bonus" points (if any). Certainly not how I'd normally do it. But this is baseball - anything can happen.

Yay! Live stats are up now. Just wished they'd fix that formatting problem...

What do you guys think about the look and format of the site? Kinda hard on the eyes, isn't it?

It looks fine to me - except on some pages the fonts are screwed up (too big, wrong font, etc) - but I'm sure they're working on it.

If I may suggest, Commissioner...

Why not use "TM" (his basketball abbreviation), instead of "DS", to avoid confusion with DB, and maybe "IM" for Irishman12 and "MC" for MaryCas, so everyone's abbreviation in the standings is tied to their BB name.

BTW, I don't care what anyone says. You're doing a helluva job as commissioner.

Sure, I will make it thru the first few weeks. The weather is still hit and miss here. Besides the first few games are crap anyway, but still count for points so I guess I better watch myself. I can't let you get to far ahead. I don't think I can take your crowing.

Who knew it was going to be as competitive as it was? Those first few weeks, I wasn't really into the game because I was kind of shy. You know, kinda like what I am now!

How does this scoring thing work? Do they do the standings by week or what? Also, how can I see my points from yesterday's game in Japan?

Welcome back DB!!!! <..and the peasants rejoice!> Some of us missed you!

Ok, so the morning after ..(or in this case, hours after), I didnt feel comfortable taking either PS and went with my gut to spend my $$ on the hitters. Not a bad strategy

Irish: Sometimes the site is slow and doesn't update as quickly as we'd like. I couldn't access the scores this morning either. Best bet is to keep trying. btw - where in Texas are you at, neighbor?

plaw: no bets this year? Or are you still pissed I still owe you two (or is it three times over now..)?

Thanks for the 411 LDV. I'll keep checking, if my Roadrunner doesn't keep messing up! I live in Cedar Park, TX (right outside of Austin), but I go to college in Temple, TX (about an hour south of Waco, where Baylor University is). A former coach of mine for basketball played ball I think at New Mexico or NM State.

There's a scoring explanation on the game's home page. Scores and standings are updated about 5 or 6 AM the morning after the games.

To see your scores for the day, go to your clubhouse page, and click "today" the daily scores are updated continuously all day and night as the games are in progress.

At 5am I didn't feel like looking up who's who. That's why I suggested that people use a piece of their board names in their team or real names. KM is Kraut-Mick, but I'll use MC if it makes you feel better

Yeah, but - You paid $5m for a team that wasn't playing. The same I paid for TB. If you wanted to save so much money, you shoulda left it blank But again, in baseball, anything can happen - as you see from this morning's game. I just couldn't leave it blank...

Ok, Pork - this is where my memory gets fuzzy (maybe I am confused between MLB/yahoo/ESPN sites because they are all different)....

I WANTED NO pitching staff...but it didn't LET me leave it blank. I went with the lowest $$ (read:cheapest most worthless) PS. I didn't want a PS for risk of getting negative points. Seriously, you know me better than that...but leave it to me to fuck up something because can't figure out the technical end of it. I seriously couldn't remember how I did things on ESPN last year!

BTW - THAT was a whine! I got your ALERT right hee-yah!

Sleep deprivation, out of town commitments, nightcap consumption and WEEKENDS! will clearly again be my downfall in this game.

The rules of this game are that you have to have a complete roster every day, or your points don't count, same as if you were over the cap.

And JG, KM is fine with me for MaryCas. Kind of like DB for Don Sicilia. Just trying to help out. I do have some experience as a commissioner, you know.

Come to think of it - you are right. Sorry. I'm the one fuzzy in the head. I guess I was thinking that $5m is pretty high for the lowest PS's. It seems again this year they're starting the player and PS values too high. $7m for Yanks PS out of the gate? Ugh.

I'm 40 points from first place... what am I going to do??

It usually takes a couple of weeks for the standings to normalize itself.

Buffy, if they had the crotch-grabbing emoticon, who would that go to? Bad Daddy or Crabby, perhaps...

I'd rather be this guy...

I plan on using it a lot this half!

pl. Now I know why you spend 60 hours a week at work. Notice I said AT work, not working.

I think you can change my initials to SA for Stupid Ass, because that's what I think I am for joining this thing.

Also, I'm too lazy to find out how pl got 64 points and I got 16. Besides I have work to do.

BTW, nice emoticon moon LDV. For that I'll stay.
