Hey....why do you need the Weather Channel when we have BethE down there? Call her up and ask if the coast is clear.

A couple people here have my phone number and no one's calling me. See. If you people were a little nicer to me you wouldn't need to go through the trouble of linking onto The Weather Channel. It's rained for 4 days, and the sun does not look like it's gonna come out. You might get a d/h real soon in the season. :p

Thanks, commish. Now it's recorded for posterity.

I am in 8th place in the whole wide world of ESPN Fantasy Baseball. And nobody can ever take that away from me. Nobody. Ever.

I guess I should have said "I am in 8th place in the whole wide world of ESPN Fantasy Baseball TODAY. And nobody can ever take that away from me. Nobody. Ever."

An asterisk* should be used to denote that only two games have been rated.

{{{ Whine Alert }}}

These starting player salaries SUCK!! We get $50m to fill 10 positions ($5m/spot) -- but anyone worth anything costs more than $5m. And the PS's START at $5m for chrissakes!

It took me like an HOUR to fill my roster, and I'm not even that happy with it. (Of course, it'll take less time as we know how these scrubs do this year, but still...)

It looks like you guys will get your game in. It's not raining, but it's cold as heck. And the way the wind is blowing I think a bunt could become an in the park homerun.

There could be much movement Monday among the Top 4. Plaw and I only share 2 offensive players, tho we both spent exactly $50.0 million. Hmmm. And Buffy and Douche have nothing in common w/ any of the Top 4's lineups! Uhh ohh...

....and I was asleep. Did not change my lineup Sunday. Spent the day at a wake (some excuse!!). Looks like a big fat zero since Balt-Bos ain't playing. That's OK, I wanted to give PLAW and JG a head start.

The whole day? And I had such high hopes for you. An adult, presumably with a strong sense of responsibility, and the realization that this game requires a daily committment, come hell or high water.

Anyway, don't worry too much about JG. He'll be dropping back to the rest of the pack eventually. It's just a matter of time before he makes some of his famous bone-head picks. DB is the guy to watch if you expect to battle for second place.

A couple of things...

- IM is Irishman12, correct??

- We have been playing this game too long. I looked at the PS of the top 4 and I just started laughing. Plaw, odds that we all have the same PS tomorrow??

Correct.

Tomorrow is a little tougher, I think. Odds are about 15-1, I'd say.

Odds that PL, JG, DB, LD are the top four in some order or another by the end of the season? 3-5.

Odds that the four of us are the only players to pick a team every single day? 1-20.

Odds that the four of us are the only players who even last the entire season? Even money.

The next FS post when he talks about having fun, and not caring about winning, and what an old grouch I am? Priceless.

Everyone took the high road and left the Wood (AND corny innuendo jokes) alone, eh? When I saw all of us this morning with the same PS, I began to feel incredibly bored. So much for independent thinking.

Irish, just so you know.... your points will accumulate "live" (with possibly a small margin of error) throughout the day as the games are played. When all the games are complete, you will be able to view your total points by clicking "today" on your page and can also view everyone else's results by clicking on their clubhouse page and clicking "today".

Whine Alert (already)...

You know what stinks about the game this year... Last year, it was a lot easier to figure out the righty versus lefty (pitcher-hitter) matchups. Last year, all we had to do was move the mouse pointer to the name of the batter and a pop-up just showed up that said "Bats LH" or "Bats RH" or something like that. It was one of my little tricks last year. They aren't doing it this year. Sucks.

Whine Alert Done...
