Plaw, you're hilarious! You just love pushing buttons on people, don't ya!! :p

I'm sure a fantasy vet like Pork is unfazed though.

Well, it can.

I'm not trying to push anyone's buttons here (OK, maybe FS now and then...) I just feel badly for JG, and I'm expressing my sympathy.

Besides, vet or not, I've been saying all along that it's you that I fear. And don't worry, I won't be trying to push your buttons. You're too much of a gentleman.

Besides, it doesn't work, anyway. You have ice water in your veins.

Hudson goes all the way on a 4-hitter for the A's.

Only 2 strikeouts, though. Damn.

Yeah, that's so evident in your words. :p

The season is way too early to start worrying about it. If I were in the bottom half I'd be offended that you'd've written me off after a week just like that. Don't worry - even you will have a day like this eventually. :p

It was destined -- I had a bad day in golf, too -- except for in the horse racing game where I got 4 out of 6. I suppose I'll suck in basketball tonight, too.

Tomorrow's another day. Hopefully I'll rise from the dead like Jesus did on Easter.

Javy Lopez is on FIRE!!! If anyone has him they must be racking up the points. Orioles have 11 runs. I feel like I'm watching a Braves game.

Just wanted to say that I wasn't very happy about picking Woody. No pitchers were all that appealing yesterday.

It's ok MaryCas....I went out of town to Colorado for the weekend and damn near got myself snowed in on Sunday. A TV-free, baseball-free, news-free weekend so I had no choice but to let my team from Saturday ride for Sunday as well. My 27 point PS Saturday which got me within 3 points of Pork earned a disapointing 2 points on Sunday making the gap between me and 3rd much larger. Oh well.

Had I TRULY been snowed in yesterday, I would have been in a HEAP of trouble with probably only 2 off. players playing and no PS today!

Interesting: all but 2 games today are early.

Well I've been gone a couple of days (I went to opening day at Yankee Stadium) so I haven't been able to keep up with the fantasy as much. But I'm back now & I see that I'm starting to fizzle out of the picture. I plan on coming back though, and there are certain people who I would take pride in beating (even if it's just them)

Well, it couldn't be me or you, DB. Since we're gonna finish 1-2, his "even if it's just them" comment wouldn't apply, because in that case he'd be beating everyone else also.

My guess is JG and FS.

If you click on the link for "group directory", in the upper right hand corner of our group's page that shows the standings, it lists all the groups in the game; the group name, access (public or private), and the number of members.

The last column is a number, under the heading "PAA". Ours is 1037. The numbers range from over 8000 to more than negative 2000.

Any idea what PAA means?

Perhaps its something like Points Against Average? The higher rated numbers look like they coincide with groups which have teams that have higher scores, while the lower rated numbers seem to coincide with groups that have lower averaged teams.

The range in the points (+8,000 to -2,000) comes pretty close to the total number of groups.
