Well, the clock strikes 12 twice a day... I'm just got lucky with those 2HR guys. Too bad about Sosa though - I usually pick him.

Yeah, my heart bleeds for you.

Doesn't the Yank-Me game start in a few minutes? Gosh, it is only after 9:00 here - I rarely get settled in and watch baseball before lunch - let alone THIS early in the morning!

Yep, the Yank-Mees are playing in about 20 minutes. Nice long day of baseball for you, Buffy!

Standings will even out soon enough, Buffy.

You just have to remember:

It's a marathon, not a sprint.
You just have to give 110%.
Take it one day at a time, you know.

(Trying to think of more cliches)

Here's more:

There's no I in team.
Dance like nobody's watching.
Things happen for a reason.
Don't do drugs.

Those don't really apply, but cliches, nonetheless!

I'd rather looooook good than feel good.

It's the thought that counts.

and appropriately enough:

If winning isn't everything, why do they keep score?? :p

Speaking of winning....how can I win when my catcher and my 2nd baseman aren't playing? Shoddy research, I know...but I can barely find my way to the site on the weekends.

In that case, one more quote:
It is better to offer no excuse than a bad one

Looks like I wasn't the only one who took a chance with Brown today against the Sox

I know I am not giving anything away (I am so predictable). Strategically speaking everyone knows as a Dodger fan, I will ALWAYS take Kevin Brown. I like him least when he pitches against Boston (AL- ugh!!!!!!!) but he generally has more awesome days than off days.

Don't worry, Pork....I am not even THINKING of anything that can jinx anything right now.

Yeah, Buff - we don't need the Curse of Vita to start up anytime soon!

But it's not really your fault, or our fault. The Yankees just suck right now. High-scoring games, overpriced PS... 4-2 now in the 5th. I even laughed when Sox fan SC picked Brown today!

I'm still trying to figure out the appeal of the Mutts and Mariners today - but I'm sure those two will show us. :p

Hey...a new guy in first place. Congrats, DB.

The only good thing about the Boston Marathon is now I get to see how piss poor my Sox did a little earlier today.

It's getting a little dusty back here, but I've placed a call to Don Mattingly (the soon-to-be-ex-Yankee hitting coach) to ask for some advice.

Appears that the Mutts pitching staff was attractive for today - especially at the lowest PS value available. I was briefly considering picking the Mutts but... :p

But what? You decided to go for another extra inning 40 point performance instead?

Stayed up last night to watch the end of the Oak/Sea game....taking DB's name in vain. Were your ears or anything else burning????

Don't want to be a a coulda/shoulda/woulda person but had Kevin Brown not been pitching I KNEW the pick was Seattle. Ugh. Hindsight. 20/20. Whatever.

I have somehow pissed off the baseball gods. Keeping a 3 point lead from 7th place. 3 points that I earned in pitching. Blech.

Today sharing a brain with Pork and company. Not saying or thinking another word - don't want to you know, do that "j" thing.....

and no day games today.

stuffy head?

Um, nope. Too easy.

Sicko? Splendid! Perhaps your eyes are blurry and watery as you are making your picks!!

Ok, that was mean. But do you know how hard I have to work to pick on you from way down here?????

Get better, soon. You know what the best thing for a cold is, right? Some vitamin C! Here's a pair for you!
