Yeah, better bring on Bad Daddy - his jokes are better. Nastier - but better. Hey, I TRIED to keep it clean!

Guess your eyes WERE blurry while making your picks for yesterday, huh DB? Hope you're feeling better today but hope your picks are still bad (except the one player we share )

Looks like it could be an interesting day.

Things are getting closer in spots. I guess if you want to stay strong, you are going to have to work a bit harder on your team.

some of the fun is slipping away.

Sure, if I am working, sorting out all my players, PS, weather, who's playing, and who is resting, then I will have less time for fun outside the game.

No matter how good you are, you can not be at two places at the same time.

FS, have you even considered the fact that the strategy of picking players, the attempt at doing well at this game, actually doing things to try and win this game, is actually fun for some people?

Just wondering...

If you considered that, then maybe, just maybe, you wouldn't have to post some of your slightly condescending diatribes about "playing for fun" or avoid some of your battles with Plaw (which plaw probably enjoys anyway! ).

I'm not trying disparage you man, just asking you to open your mind a little bit, give you a thought of the day.

Sure you can. Practice, practice, practice. Try integrating your sports interests with your social interests. Maybe have someone sit on your lap while you pick a team, of course all the while making sure you pick a GOOD team amid the chaos, confusion and distractions .

Ha! Look at the 7th place person tryng to give the 4th place Whiner some advice.

Of course I would still be in 6th - no thanks to Hoosier Big Daddy...

And I see the White Sox play late. I wanted to see Colon get wiped this afternoon!!!

For me, you have to think of fun at different levels. Is this game fun? Yes, it is. Very much so. For all of us, or we wouldn't be playing.

The fun is in the challenge of the game itself and the competitive nature of those we play with.

Now look at cutting the grass outside. Can that be fun? Sure it can if you love the outdoors and love to make your home the best it can be. Would I pick cutting the grass over playing Fantasy baseball? NO I wouldn't.

Now take the outdoors add some women with or without swimwear, a few drinks, some great food outside on the back deck and the hot tub fired up and it is a no brainer. Goodbye fantasy league, Hello, Smoking Hot Honeys.

Fantasy League will be here tomorrow and the next day and the day after that. Good friends, good times and great adventures may come only once!

Gee, I do hope that you are not so locked down in your way of life to understand where I am coming from. Life passes by quickly. I have to pick and choose where my time is spent. Isn't life great to us.

I play for the enjoyment of the game. I don't NEED to win the damn thing to enjoy the game each day. I played again this year even tho I didn't win the first half, second half or overall championship. I play to do well for the right reasons. Not stress myself to the point of no return.

By the way, the sun is out, the beer is cold and the grass is already cut. Now how is the weather at the Boston game?

Ha! I sooo look forward to these soliloquies of FS daily. No, really I do!

You seem like you want to justify everyone's idea of fun. We all pretty much know what we all like to do for F-U-N:

MC - he's a golfer
BD - he's a jokester
PL - he's a....um,.....spell checker
DB - he's a workaholic
JG - he's a ...well, we can't go there on a PG-rated board

We all have hobbies...I have a hottub and a lawn too and even someone who mows it for me and no doubt am probably the most social person I know. But watching baseball and football is one of MY hobbies. If I wasn't playing fantasy, I would have the games on at night and online anyway - for sheer love of the game. Might as well play a bit with it, dontcha think?

Chill out Mister-I'm-In-Fourth-Place-But-I-Have-A-Life-and-Don't-Sacrifice-Fun-For-The-Sake-of-Playing....I am not buying it Remember - if winning isn't everything, why do they keep score?

Don't make me smack you. Of course you would only be the 2nd after Pork. Although, I hear he likes it.....

Now, shhhh! The games have started. And Pork is gonna get all twisted if he has to come and post our scores on here again......

Nope, I completely understand where you're coming from. How can we all not understand where you're coming from after the 12th, 13th 14th... time you've told us?

82nd, 83rd, 84th time...

Listen, I've always been on your side FS. I understand that a day of sunshine, rather than fantasy sports, is your cup of tea. To be honest, it's mine too - I'd choose golf any day over picking a fantasy team. I'm currently not looking at weather.com to pick my team (unless there's a standings race at the end ).(Buffy might disagree and say work is my thing! OK, OK, it probably is!! )

You proved my point when you said that everybody has a different definition of fun. Some like fantasy baseball, others like fantasies of different sorts. You don't have to get up on a soapbox everytime there's even a hint of work/strategy that needs to be done to win this game. That work/strategy is for someone else, not you - we all get that. No need for you to complain or lecture everytime.

Push my buttons... hardly. I was just trying to give you a little constructive criticism dude. No name calling, no comments about your intelligence, nothing like that - those that know me know I wouldn't do that.

You can take it or not. I was just pointing out the obvious.

With that said, this ends here for me. I will sit here, sulk over my two points from last night, and try to get this friggin' asbestos bill passed in the Senate.

Goodness!

Did someone just tell my man DB to "kiss his ass"?

See, 'round these parts it is totally acceptable to make fun of the way people look, totally kick them when they are down and out or question their manhood (not applicable in Buffy's case, of course ). But if you are telling someone to kiss your ass in a non-sexual manner - well, them is fightin' words!

Too funny...DB is THE most calm and rational of all of them. I'd ask him to kiss a part of my anatomy and he would probably turn me down. He is a true gentleman.

btw - nice retort from you DB, glad to see you have some fire in ya!

Now folks, seriously, there are games going on and SOME OF US CARE!!!!

I vote Geoff posts one last time the scores and pitching choices and hopefully I can watch my current 6 points turn into at least 60!!! In other words, some of us want to get back to biz-ness!!!!

What's this I see. Douchey Baby is engaging in arguing? My little heart can't take this. This madness must stop now. Look! He's even resorting to using the word "friggin".

Now that's more like it, Foh Shizzle.

Can't play, Douchey Baby. I'm afraid there's not enough room here with all the intelligent discourse for me and my friggin pom poms.

I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! tongue lol
