Sorry, my spies in Florida have been silent today. :p

I could use a trim here and there. Do you have good shears?

I am an expert with a trimmer and a razor.

No nicks, cuts or stubble.

What shape did you have in mind?

A razor to trim hedges and bushes? What kind of gardener are you?

Maybe someone should check in on Buffy.

Take away all ropes and sharp items.
Also please pass out the ear plugs and post whine alert signs everywhere.

Apparently the -3 for the Marlins PS was changed to a zero overnight...

I beat JG by one minute, but his are the official standings, I think. It's funny, I think the computers like to give 3 points overnight just for the heck of it.

Go Cubbies! ( ) Go Padres!

Yeah, I'm ok. Thank goodness I was nowhere near a computer or TV yesterday to see this travesty of a game take place.

Sure, I don't see any winning point totals for last night!

Just when I rock'em one night, no one posts them! I thought getting over 70 points last night was dam good. No one wanted the cubs last night.

It has been three weeks now and I have not gotten any help on Mondays with renegotiations.

Glad to see that you are OK LDV. It was a sad night in Mudville for you.

Hey it happens, not much you can do about it. We all have them at one time or another.

Just wait till Bethie gets up and sees it. She will never let you forget it.

For those that don't know part of my work responsibilities revolve around information (computer) security. Meaning I have the ability to hmm let's say get into systems or parts of systems that I was not intended. Some call it hacking - I frown upon that name. In any event I can often see things and in turn know things that I shouldn't or that people don't believe I know. For example this BB is not the most tightly secured and it is on the internet so late last night I saw some PM's going back and forth between FS and Buffy. I logged some of it and thought you might find the below interesting;

FS - So Buffy a tough night in Mudville
Buffy - I know, don't remind me, I don't feel good - but I look good and isn't that what's really important?
FS - Yes you can't seem to catch a break
Buffy - I don't know what it is with the baseball gods - what it is that they want
FS - well if they are men you can imagine what they want.
Buffy - Ok perv
FS - Don't worry it's not about winning it's all about having fun
Buffy - Well if it is not about winning - why do they keep score ? :p
FS - Trust me there are things more important in life than some baseball games.
Buffy - Does PL know that ?
FS - PL can't tell you what he had for breakfast but he can rattle off stats from 1955
Buffy - Oh he can rattle alright - him and DB get on their stat programs I go zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
FS - I hear ya but like I said there are things more important thatn winning in FB, I have quite a long list - would you like to hear them?
Buffy - hmmm no
FS - Ok well one of them is Friday Poker Night Games
Buffy - I thought I said no
FS - And another is watching a movie with my lady
Buffy - which part of no was unclear the N or the O ?
FS - Ha you are funny. So anyway another is crisp fall weather under a moon lit sky.
Buffy - Have you ever heard no means No ?
FS - All the time. And nothing beats a good holiday dinner surrounded by family and friends
Buffy -
FS - And another one is, oh sorry I have to go, Pops needs to the computer.
Buffy - Tell Pops I said hi
FS - He says 'hi' right back at ya
Buffy - I'm gonna have to think of a new dance for the baseball gods tonight
FS - You might want to include a pole
Buffy - Perv
FS - I'm beating BD - Pork is next on my list.
Buffy - BD is a bastid - coming in on top of me and pushing me down yet another place.
FS - I would like to beat PL but again it's not about winning, it's about having fun and ......
Buffy - I gotta go - have a good one

:p

Gee, I sure hope you are not doing that on company time. We would hate to have it fall into your bosses hands. Good jobs seem hard to find.

I noticed you deleted all the bad things LDV said about you. Now that doesn't seem fair.

More Things I Think I Think (ala Peter King)

1 - Interesting stats, there plaw. My offense isn't as crappy as I thought. It's still crappy though. Lawton can stick it in his ear.
2 - Like I said last week, FS has a knack for picking PS's. Way to go dude. Now if you could get your offense in order...
3 - Bad Daddy, a hacker? And I thought he just waited home all day for his Victoria Secret catalogue... :p
4 - I'm not all that surprised that we suck statistically as a group picking PSs. It's hard to pick a good one. In any case, it's all about calculated risks. Who picks San Diego when there's a better than 50/50 shot that they will not only lose, but lose big? We do. (How's that for a jinx?!)
5 - Paris Hilton tapes on sale now!
6 - Jennifer Hudson got hosed last week. Chicago-area had a friggin' tornado so the phone lines were down. Conspiracy... I think so!
7 - D-Train got d-railed last night. Jerk. Actually, it wasn't his fault. He only gave up 2 earned runs.
8 - No one has the Big Unit tonight. Discuss...
9 - ESPN is screwing us with the player values. Pretty soon, we'll all have Ronnie Belliard and Brian friggin' Schneider playing regularly.
10 - For once, I'd like to play for fun! :p

Hmm.....you are SURE noone has the BIG UNIT tonight?

Discuss? Surely you didn't mean me. I'd like to discuss how bad this whole game blows. However, back in the day when I played good (last year, remember me - perpetual 3rd place bronze holder?) I would never think of taking even the best pitcher against certain teams. The Scrubbies are one of them. I believe I said the other day Mylanta was the other one.

And love your musings DB - however I do believe #5 and #10 are just filler. I mean, Paris Hilton? Is the world THIS hard up for bad porn?

And #10 - you are just wanting to egg on FS and add another few pages of airy rants to this thread, admit it

Amen. Its soon gonna be hard to field a team of any consequence if the values keep rising. Why is it that players who have had sub-par weeks (ie. their PPG7 averages are lower than their "normal" average) still have their values increase??

In my best Beavis and Butthead:

Heh heh heh heh, DB said "friggin'"

But seriously, I hear you. What is the worst is when one of your 5-6 million dollar players takes a day off. Two days last week, I had TWO big expensive players just opt out of the game - not injured or anything.

The pitching is just so outrageous but didn't it level out last year? I seem to remember the same thing happening and I think the Yankees PS just stayed at 7.5 million last year. This year, Boston, Cubs, LA, Oakland et al will be tough to have along with good offensive players.

I do agree with what someone said earlier - cant remember who - it DOES make the game more interesting. The picks are not as predicatable as if we could all pick the same good people. Sometimes you just have to find that one diamond player amidst all the 3 million dollar rubble.

Ok, so from where I sit, the game is interesting. I never said it was fun from where I sit.

You got me, SC...

Josh Phelps, he of the 2.6 PPG average (2.3 over the last 7 days), had his value increase from 5.0 to 5.1. What?

Boy, we sure have a lot of experts around here. Maybe you could figure out how may licks to the center of a tooisepop?

I don't know about you folks, but I am having one great time. I watched the Cubs game last night and was having the time of my life. Then I had a chance to watch the Marlins game and watch Atlanta take their numbers down.

Almost came close to the great time I had at the poker game on Friday night, but making real money is always better then Fantasy.

Knock me if you want. You live your life your way and I'll live my live mine.

You get one life to live and that is your own!
