Six hours of watching The Braves/Rockies. What could be sweeter. ((kisses avatar again.)). I got my little heart broke when I sat down to watch the game last night and it was postponed. But now I have all day long to see Vinny.

Thank youu Ted Turner.

No Accident with players. The problem is STILL the weather! Most places still have bad weather even for today. So...So you put all your eggs in one basket? I couldn't do that. I took the hit last night. This week has been a bad week for me and baseball.

Yo Yo Yo Big Daddy in Da House .....
and giving a shout out to all my peeps

In short this game bites although somehow I have aligned myself up to the baseball gods for the time being. The last few days have been really crazy for me - not necessarily a 'good' crazy so even hitting the bb site was a chore. I saw from the Rook IM12 that there was a DH with Boston earlier in the week - had no idea (thanks IM), would not have known so I quickly loaded up my roster on Wed for the DH - not realizing that in my haste the DH was really for Thursday not Wednesday - but I lucked out with the BoSox that night - but truth is it was a fluke.

Had my roster set yesterday, was out late last night with friends, got home, and checked for messages and scores only to see all the DHs for today. I had hmmmm other things to do - so I really had to bang it out in like 5 minutes - my roster that is. And it was really hard - picking the players that is :p because of all the DHs going on.

Today I am out all day, I'll set my lineup now if I get back tonight to see more DHs, I'm done.

But as I said I have been lucky and have discovered the secret to this game. And that is to put as little time in it as possible.

So lot's of DHs today - lots of weather - lots of choices it will be interesting to see where everyone is when the dust settles.

As you were Peeps

I used three baskets.

So what are you saying? That you knew about all 3 doubleheaders, but chose not to use them?

Not looking to start an arugument -- just curious.

Excuuuuuuse me????

I have 8 out of 9 offensive players (only because I CHOSE not to have Kapler as a DH) from the 3 double headers. That is not loading up? No accident here. I even checked weather last night which is why I only have one TOR player in Chicago today.

Hey, don't underestimate an 8th place person. Just because I didn't show myself TO YOU whining last night, doesn't mean I don't know a few things about this game.

Unfortunately I won't be home AT ALL today to watch these games. Imagine the surprise when I get back tonight.

Good or bad surprise, well that remains to be seen....

My apologies, Buffy. I noticed that when I checked back later, but never changed my post. I think the first time I ran through the league I must have just forgot to look at your team. I mean, it was after 3:00 AM.

Actually, you left-coasters have the advantage of still being reasonably awake at 3:00 AM Eastern.

Tres True. Some of us are even reasonably awake at 3 am Mountain! :p

Truth be told, I didn't partake in last night's whine-fest as I only had about 15 minutes to...how did Big Daddy so eloquently put it....bang out a roster. Couldn't waste precious time whining with you guys.... :p

Bethie? Seek help. 6 hours of Vinny? Considering I have him on my roster...the boy better do well!!!

Of course I knew about all three dh's I was online last night while watching a DVD. After a long check with the weather channel and see bad news on all three DH's I thought the best shot may be the Boston/ Teaxas game as the front may pull thru there early. Remember they are playing in Texas, not Boston. Boston would be almost clear. So if some picked Boston and didn't notice that they are away, they may have lucked out.

As you saw last night I kept only one player who may be in the bad weather and all my other players did play. Thank God because my PS shit the bed, big time. But who would have thought that Fla would give up so much with Willis on the mound? In the first two innings it was tied 9-9?

So I HAVE watched the weather the last few days.
I added one more Boston player and let the others remain. Like I said Chicken after getting burned more then once this week.

In fact the dhs dates were on the board right after the game was called last night. Very quickly I may add. It took me a few extra mins. to remember that May 1st was for today. My mind was still in April. Now if they all get rain again today what is Sundays games going to look like? and who will pitch, who will play..ect.

Boy of Boy, You sound so full of yourself here Pee. Sure the three of you in the middle of the night worrying about fantasy baseball. The rest of us are all dumb hicks because we don't lose sleep over it. So our picks must be an accident?
shame on you....

See if you talked about the game more, people may just have a better time with it and enjoy the game (and You) a whole lot more. Think about it!

We may not be the smartest bunch, but we do want to play and have fun at the same time, of course!

Why would I want to make you unhappy, Bethie

You have so many B's to offer a guy, Brewskies, baseball, and a place in the basement.

Yes, those too!

Still not feeling 100% Pee. Doctor says it will take at least a week for things to work itself out of here. Then look out!

Looks like the fronts moved alot quicker then they thought they would. Lets play ball!

Weather is great in CNY. 80 and just a perfect day. Everyone is out shopping for gardening stuff. The stores were packed. Well, I have to help do some stuff around the homestead. Time to break out all the stuff for the decks and the patio. Mom like things ready for Mothers Day and I always like to get her hanging baskets for her gift. She loves the look and the fact that they last all summer long. Hope everything is as nice by you as it is here.

Bethie, time to change that IV line, it is looking alittle yellow!

IV bag is doing ok. It's not too much of an exciting game. Vinnie did get a hit and a walk/RBI. Is my boy doing good enough for you so far, Buffy? Did you see the aflac question where Vinnie is 1 of 3 3rd basemen to have 5 or more seasons hitting 30+ homers. Isn't he wonderful.

Nice gifts for mom, FS. I love my garden, but I am not good with house plants. I could kill a fern.

Vinny hit a 2 run homer. Are you sufficiently happy Buffy?

I gotta say, Coors Field is one of the ugliest ballparks I've seen. That field looks like a pair of plaid pants.

Did you hear that Pedro is going the free agent route next year? Looks like Steinhitler is gonna be reaching into his pockets again.

With the exception of the Texas PS none of the DH PS did any good.

IF I'd had known about the DHs in time I would have stocked up on DH players; and probably would have used a DH PS. Sometimes ignorance IS bliss.
