I'm so glad we had this time together .....

Some things going on regarding work - upcoming project that will keep me out of the office. With little time to make roster changes during the day I don't want to have to make them at home at night - that takes the fun out of it. I can spend 10 minutes making changes at lunch but when I have to do it at home than it becomes more of a chore.

And since I do play to win - otherwise why do they keep score :p I know if I go a few days without changing my roster and watch my team go south that would make me not want to even keep up with it. So later today I'll remove my team from the league to make it easier for those doing the morning updates. Actually I won't get busy with the new stuff for a few days but it should happen and today seems like a good day to end. Retired with the bronze - reached the 98% ranking (the family will all be so proud) AND I leave having Wood. C'mon what better way to leave than that.

I'll still be around abit though just not playing in fantasy baseball.

I did find out that though that with the new responsibilities later in the year probably some travel again - I thought I was done with that. Anyway, two sites in California, Detroit, Cinn. and Texas I heard today. And as I mentioned awhile back very good chance Chicago, the Windy City might need to be there a bit if they put this new office in there. DB gonna hook me up ??? C'mon help a brother out. Let me use your place for internet access. I think Pork, PL, SC and MC are all in NY so don't have any plans for there that I know of though. Hey, I can hear the collective sighs of relief from the four of you all the way over here. Dang that was cold blooded.

Not that anybody really cares - but didn't want to just pull out without an explanation. eww that didn't sound right.

And look, it's thought provoking, 3rd grade humor like that - that y'all gonna miss.

Seems like BIG DADDY isn't so big.

Poor Little fella.

Bronze my ass. You get the first place Dropout/ Loooooser award in my book. You get no awards for being a dropout.

Wait till Pee sees this post! He may just fall off the deep end.
First with the ten day hidden late crap, now this.

Now don't come back trash talking, if you are not playing.

That is ok BD, life is what it is. Good luck and be safe.

Yes, that is right ....At least I dropped out because I hated the game! Basketball sucks!
I gave it a try, hated it and dropped.

and I took shit about it, so now it your turn to take it!

By the way Pro Basketball still sucks. Biggest bunch of pussys in the whole sports world.
My finger hurts, I don't feel good, I'm mad so I am not going to play!

Thank you for the tissue

Ok, ok - that did sound a bit Wuss-like when I read it over I admit.

I can take the PL arguement that it is not fun like last year. :p In short, for a period of time things are gonna be really crazy and I know I won't have the time I would like to make changes to have a competitive roster so I will drop and that will piss me off - damn competitive nature in me.

Besides the fun for me is really the trash talking with you guys and gals - my peeps - and I hardly have a chance now to get on here much to do that. Last year I was around all the time or so it seemed - that was fun, this year I seem to be able to get on every few days. Also last year Buffy said she would rub and do other things to my feet if I beat her - I had incentive, this year no incentive. Never did collect on that now that I think about it.

Oh and Pork - WUSS this. You know if you take the bronze - you'll continue with a * next to your name, but than again you should be used to that from last year.
:p

****** End Wuss Alert *******

If you play it right you could travel out West about the same time Bethie is there and you could collect. One lady on each foot.

Hot tub is ready and the only bad part is you may have to handle that wheel barrel at night, in the dark, up the ramp in 85 degree weather! With two drunks singing at the top of their lungs! Calling you Vinny while they try and tear your shirt off!

Two drunk women and a wheelbarrel - now there's a flashback to my younger days.

Besides Bethie doesn't owe me the foot rub - she'll probably rub Buffy's though - bet or no bet.

I'll rub anything Buffy wants. And vice versa I'm sure. But you guys are being mean, so no pics for you.

And I thought I got the drop out award last year. Can I at least get the "Best basement dweller" award then?

Reminder to self- Order plaque for the basement wall.

Nope. No big ANYTHING for Buffy tonight. My offense is not even that big tonight.

Just a comment regarding this week's salary cap talks -

Last night I had Eric Valent from the Mets for the first time on my roster. At a cost of 2.7 million (chump change) he garnered me 8 points.

I thought I would take a chance on Termmel Sledge of the Expos today for the same price of 2.7 mill and I got 9 points from him.

I personally think it is more fun to research some of the "hot" guys and maybe get an edge over another player. Noone wants to play with the same guys, THAT would get boring.

In contrast - my usually good pick of Javy for 5.6 mil and Giambi (who I NEVER like to take because he is a putz) at 6.1 mil got me the big pair of goose-eggs tonight. Sometimes with the big HR hitters it is hit or miss and you have to rely on that "lucky" night. I have a few choices I like to rely on to get me the points consistently.

Of course I am the caboose on this gravy train, so what the heck do I know???? But I would at LEAST be at dining car level if I could learn to get a grip choosing PS choices!

By the way...who wants to know who I picked tomorrow??? :p

How ironic. I had both of them tonight, for ZERO. Okay, here's the deal: Tell me your PS AND your offense before 3AM ET... and then I'd have a chance... :p

Amazing how I can pick pitchers with winning records, low ERA, low league batting avg. and be 12-23. That's why I don't gamble. Only LD is worse than me, but we know that she picks pitchers by the firmness of their buttocks. Which, by the way isn't a bad criteria, its just different. Go figure.

That stuff counts, but there are other, more important factors, IMO. Of course, I'm not gonna reveal what they are.... :p

But anyway, thanks for reading my pitching stats summary. As a matter of fact, I appreciate it so much that if you promise not to tell I'm gonna PM you with some pitching strategy tips. I figure you can't catch me anyway. :p

No, DB, my most worthy adversary. No tips for you. Actually, you should be giving me the tips. I mean, after all, your pitching stats are better than mine.

Anyway, watching who you pick leads me to believe that you would know most of them anyway.

Happy? [/b][/quote]Sure, that is better. It puts a whole new face on it.

But, I didn't see any pitching tips in my mailbox either.

I'd be happy to give you some, but why would I bother since you don't care about winning?

Besides, all I'd get in return is a long lecture about how much time I spend on making my selections, and how some of us only play for the fun of it, and why bother because winning isn't important, and how I should get a life outside of fantasy sports, and how I get my new supply of meds on the first of the month, etc. etc.
