I took a quick look throught the pitching records, and actually, when SHE picks who I have, she's done OK for the most part.

Listen, like I said, when she & I share a PS, she does OK. I ain't worried.

Now; If, in those seven games, Buffy scored the league average (not including BD, IM or TM and adjusted to remove those seven games from the average) of 13.25 Pitching PPG, it would be a 184 point swing and she'd be in fourth place right now.

That was cold!! No wonder my ears were burning while I was in the shower this morning!!! Talking smack about me won't make me go away (like Big Daddy )

At least SC won't be "shittin' a pickle" today. My gut was split between Clement and Alvarez.

You know, I can post my PS pick at midnight every night and give y'all a chance to make your anti-Buffy pick. But watch out. We ALL have bad (pick one) days, weeks, months ......I will be the sleeping giant and find my way back up to at least 4th by All-Star Break.

Considering that FS and SC have, shall we say, rather "spotty records" for paying attention, that's certainly possible. I mean, I did predict a third place finish for you.

Still, it's a rather bold prediction.

Bold? Yes. A shrinking violet, I'm not.

Ah, even if the prediction never holds water, at least I will get a clean slate start at the ASB. Not a quitter, like some people... EVEN THOUGH I plan to be out of town ALOT this summer (and no, I never take a laptop - in light of my placement, maybe I should consider it?)

I only stay at hotels that have a "Business Center". No laptop necessary, but they usually charge about $15-20 an hour for using the computer.

I own not one but two laptops. I just don't think it would be a good idea to take one on vacation . After years of telling Mister Buffy he should "vacation" and not work while on vacation...he tells ME the same thing (as he considers my sports obsessions to be "work"- ah he is just still hurt since I beat him in football last year )

Besides, how can you take a laptop on a white water rafting trip?

Not to worry. I'll pick a good team and let it ride...you will be amazed at my results!!

Buff. The bullies just love to pick on a girl. Especially a girl who could beat them in a foot race. There's still a Buff-er between you and me. So what if I'm a rookie? Just don't let me beat you. The guys are being nice to me in my rookie season, but things may change when the 2nd half comes around and ........

Perfect Game!! Congrats on your BIG UNIT, Pork!!

EDIT: Woops!! Didn't see you cheering above Pork. You were already celebrating!

MC - don't worry, I won't LET you beat me...

I think everyone (read: bullies) lost sight of me being a girl a looooong time ago. I feel just like one of the guys now. I am desperate though - too bad I can't use any of my feminine tricks of distraction in THIS game.

PS: Wow! I barely dodged the Alvarez bullet, didn't I? Woops, Sorry, SC.... :p

...and Randy JOHNSON did okay, too!

45 pts must be a record for 9 innings in this game; RJ was second best only to Koufax's 14 K perfect game. BTW - San Fran earned 43 pts tonight (1 hit, 1 BB)

Too bad my offense was relatively weak <--- gotta stick a WHINE in there somewhere, don't I?

It was a tough one for Wednesday...

SD seemed to have the better PS; but, Pitts seemed to have the better offense...

We'll see..........!

Amazing how what are probably the two best pitching scores ever for a 9 inning game both happen on the same night.

I remember Prior had a 41 last year, but 45 . Wow! It's gonna be hard to ever top that one.

Thanks for that DB!!

Buffy picked the Padres. PL and DB collectively let out a huuuge sigh of relief....

Should be an interesting day. After careful analysis and consideration, I actually went light on DH players. I actually thought alot of them sucked.

btw - my pick BEFORE 11pm last night? Scrubbies.
Lower the restraint bar and enjoy the ride!

Because I'm a nerd ,I was curious to see how we are doing compared to last year... Most of us would be dominating last year, even if you take into account that most of us (except JG) started one day late, Buffy two days late, and BD 10 days late last year.

CY = Current Year
LY = Last Year

Hmm - I see. Well I believe when he said Bad Daddy - I believe he meant it as oversexed stud muffin as in;

C'mon you oversexed stud muffin -- you already have a roster. It's not like you have to adjust for a PS.

See in Pork's mind, Bad Daddy = oversexed stud muffin.
Of course interpretation is alwasy subjective but I believe that is how it was meant. :p
