Here's the good news for you, JG:

At least DB had him also.

I'll congratulate you also there PL. Even going away down the casinos for the holiday weekend you still found a way to buy some online time to change your rosters to put yourself back in first place. What a date you are :p But congrats.

And the commish won't say anything cause he is a Wussy or a Dork. :p

What's weird is I had the Cardinals picked and at LITERALLY the last minute changed to Mutts. I remember they cost the same so I would not have to change up my whole roster and risk going over cap as the deadline loomed.

I really hate making impulsive decisions in baseball. All other things in life, ok - but I usually regret it in this game.

No complaints here. We got a Ben Sheets performance, except for a few missing strikeouts.

Incredible!! I picked the whole Minnesota team for four days and they got 56 pts last night! Not a bad strategy.

Wow! My left arm to have had Todd Zeile tonight. Maybe he will at least give me the 5 "W" points I need....

btw - when I met Todd Zeile, he was rooming with Eric Karros.... what a party THAT would have been.

Isn't it ironic that most of us had games go into extra innings today? Not the most exciting day with low scoring games, but let's settle in and see what your guy's Big Unit can do for you now.

That's about three days in a row of whining without an alert.

Boy, did I screw up. I definitely woulda had the Big Unit tonight, except for some odd reason I thought the game was in SF.

Oh well, with my luck he'll probably get racked up and I'll come out smelling like a rose (again)

You won't believe, but I swear on my life, I swear on the head of my son; If I'm lying, I should never win another bet, another hand, or score another fantasy point as long as I live...

No sooner did I post the above, and SF scored four runs.

Wow...wha' the....?

I left the house to go on a run when AZ was up 3-0 and I thought hmmmm, some guys have all the luck.

Tune in now 8-6. I missed it - why did they take him out so soon?

Ah - one more inning it will be over. Thankfully for some people.

EDIT: Nice save for the "W"....

No problem Buffster. We just escaped a second and third situation in the first inning, and got out with a plus 2.

You'll do just fine.

I'm with you now, Buff.

La Doce Vita. La Dolce Vita. What have I ever done to make you treat me so disrespectfully?

I expect nothing in return. No thanks. No gratitude. Some day, and that day may never come, I may call on you to perform some service for me. A "congratulatons" when I win. Or some back-up when everyone is rooting against me.

But keep picking the same pitching staff as I do. Then my enemies in this game will become your enemies. And then they will fear you.

Hmmm....

I did a little research to try and determine just how strong the Buffy Pitching Curse is on days when she & I pick the same PS.

Interesting results.

Code:
8-10, 272 Pts, 15.1 PPG on days we had the same PS
17-30, 325 Pts, 6.9 PPG for Buffy on days when she had a different PS than PL
33-16, 823 Pts, 16.8 PPG for PL on days when he had a different PS than Buffy
So she's done considerably better than her norm on the days when she's picked the same staff as me

BUT

I've done worse than my norm on those days.

Conclusion: The Buffy Pitching Curse applies even to me, although I have been able to offset it somewhat.

So in regards to your research on this BPC (Buffy Pitching Curse, good God, now we have named it??) what you are saying, in essence, is....

Ishii is gonna tank today?

I am only 40 points away from the scrub in front of me. One can certainly make that up in one good night.

You know, if I can just move up the ladder ONE RUNG, all would be right with the world and I could sit back and relax knowing I accomplished SOMETHING in this game.

what you are saying, in essence, is....
Ishii is gonna tank today?
Well, on days when you and I have different pitchers, you average a whopping 6.9 PPG.

Draw your own conclusions. But Ishii on the road is probably one run per game worse than he is at home.

no strategy tip there. I'm a Dodger fan, remember?

The one thing that makes me the most nervous is the very thing you mention. But it is my hope he goes at least 7 innings and Gagne at least grabs the win for me. A score of 2-1 and the "W" would be good enough for this 6th place squatter.
