Down boy! :p

Do you realize we shared FOUR offensive players today?

Right. You don't look at the 4th place peasants.

Hidalgo was good offensively , Floyd was just downright offensive

Hey, I gotta make the wisecracks now. After tomorrow, I am gone for a week or more. Y'all will miss me, I am sure.

Must make a team and LET IT RIDE! Maybe I will pull a MaryCas and pick ONE whole team and fill every slot with it. Maybe Colorado. Maybe Kansas City. Maybe my beloved Dodgers.

Nice to have you back, plaw (aka the man who has proven himself as the best fantasy sports player on the GBB - don't think I didn't see that! )

That's it, as the kids say on the street... GAME ON!

I'm "surprised" to see you up this late...

BTW - Sorry about not getting back to you about your computer, but I just went thru the same thing myself. In fact, it wasn't a software problem, it is some yet undiscovered hardware problem. So, I've had to replace my main system with my other one. Good, cuz it's much better and faster, but, bad, cuz it was my video-dedicated system. Ahh, well. At least now I can get on w/o the computer freezing up on me!

Very weird

No internet since Sunday afternoon. Then i come home today, and there's a pop-up like thing saying that I need to update my "Viewpoint Media Player" (I think it was). I didn't even know I had that, whatever it is, but I figure it came through from the "net, so I click on "update". I wind up with a new Yahoo toolbar, and the internet works again.

I'm wondering if the internet fixed itself somehow, and that's how I got the Yahoo thing, or if getting the Yahoo thing fixed my internet.

As for Yahoo Toolbar (ne Yahoo Companion), the one I had before was the beta w/ the Spyware scanner built into it. Bastards. After "starting from scratch" here, now the version with the Spyware scanner isn't available any more. (and, it worked GREAT, too! Better than Ad-Aware!) Hopefully they'll release it out of beta soon!

OH well, I seemed to have missed a doubleheader today. I guess I wasn't watching close enough. That is what cost you big sometimes in this game.

Shit happens, now I have to wait and see who comes out on top. LDV has been hit and miss on her picks this year and it seems to be a split choice among the top runners going one way the third and fourth going the other way. I see Geoff isn't to happy to be with LDV after her other run.
Maybe we will see large negative numbers with the double header? Who knows till it is all over.

Anyway good luck to you all.

SC and I will watch the Marlins game and fight things out in the basement. By the way SC pick up some snacks will ya.

I'm proud of you, FS, just flat-out admitting that you missed it.

No excuses about how you have more important things to do than fantasy baseball, smelling the grass in the summertime, hanging flower baskets, etc. :p

The truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

I admit that I haven't been spending the time on this that I should have and I bet that is why I missed it.

Nine days??? That's it. Wow - I didn't realize we were so close to the all-star break.

PL or DB?... That's easy - it goes to the man who has proven himself the best fantasy sports player on/at/within/all around the GBB!

Is JG's big move too little, too late?... Not if I miss anymore DH's.

Will LD hang on for fourth?... Yep, question answered.

HALF-YEAR RESOLUTIONS (Fantasy Baseball Edition)

1 - I will miss one more DH this year to make the race more exciting (and then blame it on a power failure :p ).
2 - I will go to more Cubbies games, with a special interest in the Cubbies vs. Marlins series in September. Remember, whoever comes to the game with me will have to pick the Marlins as their PS for that day (while I pick the Cubbies) just to make the game more interesting.
3 - I will try the MC route once - pick all the players from one team (if possible) for one day.
4 - If I ever get to any of your neck of the woods - I will let my fantasy buds know so we can go out and watch a ballgame (or whatever strange place Crabby takes me to!).
5 - I will talk more trash in haiku.

Here's the first one:

Too Little, Too Late
You Have Buffy's Pitching Staff
Bye, bye Mr. Pork

6 - I will once again prove myself as a 2nd half player (which we all know, is the half that counts anyway).

Now Pork can rest easy knowing not only do we share the PS, we share 7 offensive players!

I have a feeling if this day doesn't go right for him (us), I will be "left out" and then some!

I'll go with you!! Since the Albuquerque Isotopes (Triple A) are the Marlin's farm team, guess I can root for the home team. Even though I love the Cubbies, you are right, it is all about making the game more interesting.

I seem to remember there is a bet on the table. I say we go double or nothing???

All right Your Buffiness, you're on!

Let me see... What do we bet on... I still owe you a shot glass/Cubs hat combo...

How about another poem (although I don't think you wrote one for me when you lost the last time - you had BDD write it!)?

Hey everyone. I'm a great Aunt. No, I'm not bragging that my nieces and nephews adore me, but one of my nieces gave birth to a boy, Christopher Elijah Jr., whom I think they'll nickname Elijah. Just so you know how close my family is, I got an email from my sister Angel, (who is not the grandmother) saying my niece had her baby, but doesn't know if it was last night or this morning. Her e-mail was entitled "Update". Kind of hard to be updated on something you never knew in the first place. I guess I'll be seeing a baby this weekend. Yippee!!!
