yo - Yo - YO - Big Daddy in the House and giving a shout out to all my peeps.

So I have been gone abit and look at all I missed

DB is in first
PL vows to get back what is 'rightfully his' - that is 1st place in the 1st half
Pork making a late run
FS and Buffy in a battle
MC and the guy that quit in a battle
Even Crabby became an Aunt - Aunt Crabby

Although my team has dropped off, I noticed yesterday that I have a very slim margin of FS - literally a few points.

I should join for the home stretch, the last few games - give FS someone to battle in Da Buffster's absense. If he beats me out, but I stay tough I could maybe become his most worthy adversary.

Hope everyone had a good fourth - we were away down the shore, had some fireworks on the beach at night, even saw some earlier

Tough being back at work today though. And gettin back to business I see my Phils - the Fighting Phils took a game away from the Mets last night. Seems most of the NY'kers in this are Yankees fans not Mets fans. What makes one root for one and not the other ?

As you were Peeps.

Actually, I believe he would say "You're out"! He didn't go to college to be stupid. :p

And Bad Daddy I've been an Aunt for 27 years. I became a Great-Aunt. Which is only fitting beings I've been a great person for 40 years.

Greetings from Boston.

We got here too late to take the Fenway "tour" , but will get there early enough to watch some batting practice (the hotel is only 5 minutes away).

Assuming the game isn't over too late (ie. the Sox don't score 20 runs) we're gonna try to head over to the original "Cheers" bar after the game. Maybe I should pick tomorrow's lineup NOW

Enjoy the game and 'Cheers' if you make it. I have been there many times - walking in you feel like you are in the show, but once inside it is nothing like the show. Actually kind of small, but still kind of fun to visit.

An exciting race for first, another exciting race for fourth, and a battle to stay out of the basement.

No DB, no FS or LD, no MC or IM...just a couple of guys talking about a bar....

Well, give my regards to Beantown SC. I was there two years ago with my son for the Eastern Conference Finals series clinching game between the Nets and Celtics.

We stayed with my cousin. The game was Friday night, and Saturday she took us on a tour of downtown.

B-O-R-I-N-G

Couldn't get home fast enough on Sunday. Would have been better, I guess, if we saw a Red Sox game.

An outsider taking interest in who wins here, but a few questions....

1. Who is "DB"?
2. Is that lead over Plaw a big one? Say, could it be taken over within one game?
3. How long until the season is over?

1. Don Sicilia (Don't ask)
2. No. Yes
3. The first half ends Sunday. There's a first half winner, then the second half starts the following Thursday and runs until about the end of September. There's a second half winner also.
The most important winner is whoever has the highest combined points total for both halves.

Talk of DB's bill always brings to mind that old Grammar Rock skit: "I'm just a bill. I am only a bill. And I'm sitting here on Capitol Hill". Poor little guy. You rooted for him when he became a law. It was one for "the good guys".

Of course, DB is probably too young to know what I'm talking about.

Not too far off the prediction. FS, I guess it's safe to say you don't need to tell "Pops" to call his bails bonds friend. Not unless SC runs on the field to try to kiss Pedro.

Well, not exactly five games to go. There are 30 teams, and each one pretty much plays every day, so actually there are about 75 games left from which to pick players. With nine players to pick each day from the 130 or so playing each day......

And my PS? -12 after the first inning! Wow, look at that, I finished up with ZERO PS points in the end! And my offense? SEVEN! Woah!! What sluggers I picked today! 3 0-fers, and 4 no-shows don't freakin' help!

10 Things I Think I Think (ala Peter King)
1 - Exciting race for 1st and 4th place. It will come down to the last day. Very weird.
2 - All-Star Game coming up. Lots of snubs - especially from Chicago (e.g. Aramis Ramirez, Frank Thomas, Konerko). What were the fans thinking putting Giambi in the starting lineup?
3 - You know what's great about a 3-day weekend with the off-day coming on a Monday??... A four-day work-week! Even better when you travel the first couple of days!
4 - I thought I wasn't playing DE-FENSE when I picked Boston today.
5 - I wonder who Buffy has picking for her. Last time I picked Cincinatti - they got shellacked. Hope they do better for her than they did for me.
6 - Good game to go to, SC!
7 - I can't wait until the football season starts.
8 - 4 more days and one more half to go... Uggghhh.
9 - My picks to win the All-Star game: National League.
Homerun Contest: Barry (if he participates). Sammy, otherwise.
10 - I still hate doubleheaders, despite the semi-strong showing in the last one. Hey, even a blind squirrel finds a nut sometimes.

Aside from our race, of course, the most exciting is the one between MC and a guy who's not playing to see if MC can stay out of the basement.

2 - What were the fans thinking putting Giambi in the starting lineup?
The problem with unlimited internet voting
4 - I thought I wasn't playing DE-FENSE when I picked Boston today.
Who did you think I'd be picking?
8 - 4 more days and one more half to go... Uggghhh.
I disagree. I love this game

10 - I still hate doubleheaders, despite the semi-strong showing in the last one.
I disagree again. I love 'em. As a matter of fact, I could use a few more btween Friday and Sunday. Gives me more chances to catch up.

Meanwhile, I'm torn between trying to pull out a first half win with a bit of unpredictability these last few days, and trying to make what I think are the most sensible choices with an eye on the all-important Overall Points Championship.
