Forgive me, please. I don't do this often,

But when you do its a thing of beauty.

So do I have this right? When you don't get a lot of offensive points, it's the players fault, but when you do it's attributed to your genius? [/b][/quote]I don't know what your question has to do with my "whine", but yeah, that's pretty much sort of correct.

If a hitter is, let's say, 10-20 with 5 homers lifetime against a pitcher at Coors field, and goes out and has a good day against that pitcher, I wouldn't say I was a "genius" for picking him, but study and research does pay off.

On the other hand, same scenario, but the hitter goes 0-4 with no additional extraneous factors to consider (hitter in a slump, pitcher is hot, etc), it's certainly the hitter's fault, not my fault for picking him.

Hope that answers your question...

You guys could have given yourselves some more minutes of beauty sleep and not worried about any supposive DH between Baltimore/Boston. It's gonna do nothing but rain all day today, so it would have been a washout again.

I haven't seen the sun for weeks. I think someone stole it.

Go ahead and whine , my Oswalt pitched a 2-hitter going into the 8th and they pulled him and the next guy up allowed 3 runs!

8th inning I am looking at 26+ points made without the win - 5 minutes later I had like 14.

Talk about some whining last night!!

I wouldn't fret if I were him. We all know how my predictions turn out. They'll probably play through thunder and hail tonight. Blame it on that dreaded Bethie Curse.

That brought a little sunshine into my otherwise gloomy day.

Just remember the other baby pic is mine and mine alone. I have a feeling I might need to be dusting that pic off pretty soon.

Bad News... Mulder looked less than impressive.
Good News... A's still won. 2 ER's allowed. Ks and Walks offset.

Bad News... Kotsay (on my team) not playing today.
Good News... Kotsay comes up in the bottom of the 9th and proceeds to smack a walk-off single. 2 points is better than nothing, I guess.

Yeah, I'm with 'ya, MWA.

18 in a win in which your pitcher allows only two runs is a sucky total. Where were the K's?

Fine, I wouldn't mind a COB - as long as I made say, like 100 in offensive points!

Mutts and Scrubs playing early games today. By the end of the work day we shall see who is smilin' and who is cryin'!

Didn't Montreal give them an ass kicking a few days ago. Like 19 runs/hits or something like that?

Randy Johnson at Coors?

You guys must be nuts

OK, FS and SC at the bottom of the standings, so who knows what the hell they're thinking, but you too, JG?. I'm shocked

1) I don't care who's pitching, it's at Coors, for cryin' out loud.
2) Unless you're sure he's gonna pitch a CG, how horrible has the Arizona bullpen been?
3) If a trade goes down or is iminent, he may very well not pitch at all.
4) The game is at Coors, for cryin' out loud.

True, it worked out last week for FS and Schmidt at Colorado, but still....

A non-pl story.

Thursday night: 11:10pm - stoopida focking Democratic Convention on TV - Sportcenter "Ivan Rodriguez had to leave the game with back spasms; he's day-to-day."

< thought process > Hmmmmm - I have Ivan for Friday, there's still time to change my catcher.....nah!, lights out...z-z-z-z-z-z-z.
