This from a website which I will not disclose, as it provides me with much information... :p "Chicago city officials, alarmed by three reports of falling concrete at Wrigley Field since the start of June, said they needed more information from the Cubs before deciding whether it's safe to play Friday's game. On Thursday, workers at the stadium continued putting up netting to protect fans from falling chunks of concrete. There's a chance, but only a slim one, that Friday's game against the Phillies could be postponed. The city can prevent the game from being played if the netting isn't fully installed or if they conclude it doesn't adequately protect fans." That, plus a chance of rain PL: Sosa & Ramirez JG: Derek Lee CC: Sosa MC: Thome SC: Rollins

Versus the Rockies this year, he has a 1.93 ERA in 14 innings. He has a 1.98 ERA for the previous 3 years, and a decent 3.60 ERA at Coors Field where he's 4-1 in 6 starts. Last week he threw 8 shutout innings w/ 14Ks against them. (So, okay, they still lost in the 9th ) He ranks 2nd in the NL for innings pitched this season. He has 3 complete games this season. He ranks 1st with 174 Ks. 1st in WHIP (0.89). Batters are hitting .174 against him in AWAY games, better than at home (.205). Beckett?? He hasn't pitched since July 5th, his only game this month. He pitched 3.2 innings in the whole month of June. I bet he'll be pretty sharp. Okay, sure he has a 1.29 ERA against the Expos (7 innings) this year (so could I - lol). Previous 3 years his ERA is 2.20 against them (3-1). His previous 3 year ERA at Pro Player is 3.37 (12-7), not much better than Johnson's at Coors. Sure, Johnson may up and leave - I would if I was him. But going to the Yanks is unlikely now. Giants and Padres are making late bids, but who knows if he'll waive his no-trade clause (if he was smart he would) -- but there's another day. But anyway... for $3.3m how can you NOT take the chance?? I think you just missed it and you're causing me to curse the pick by talking about it! :p

Didn't we go all through this last season? Check the Leaderboard. There isn't one guy on there who ever plays it that way. Full roster every day. That's the only way to go. I didn't use any special sites, I didn't pay to join any special groups and I didn't check with a bookie to see the betting odds. --"Special sites"? Nothing "special" about any of them. Just a little research. The competition is much stiffer this half, with the arrival of CB and CC, and the improvement of MC. DB's record speaks for itself, and I always respect JG and LD. The only ones I don't fear are you and SC. You play for fun, not to win, so I can't worry about you. SC? I have no idea what his story is. --I don't pay to join any special groups, either --What do bookies have to do with anything? Now were did I leave my fishing pole? Oh, do I have a great response for that one. But I'll keep quiet. :p

Let them play a dead last team's shitty bullpen at Coors. Let them take Florida in the last double-header (that Florida wasn't in) I knew someone who did that once - poor sap - she would have a comfy 2nd place lead right now if not for her poor lapse in judgement and desire to do something dangerously different. AH YES, I thought that post would get a little chatter going. Not that I would ever hope that you would fear a player like myself Pee. The level of player that I am and the time I am willing to give this game, I could never hope to meet your level or standards. Hell, I don't know crap about baseball myself. Other then this game that is. I am taking each day as it comes. Some days I feel I do well and other days I just shit the bed so to speak. Clean sheets please! Some days I get great pitching and no offense and other days I get great offense and shit pitching. Hell, I thought I had a banner day with 80 points last week with no DH. I was happy. I am happy just coming close to you well named, big league players some days. But, I am having fun and that is why I am here and stay. Hell, someone must be near the bottom Bad news for you all is. If you don't beat my score everyday then you don't look that great. You should be killing a guy like me in this game. EVERYDAY. I ADMITT- I KNOW NOTHING. YES, NOTHING ABOUT BASEBALL
