Hmmmm....A significant drop down to 3rd - doing the big dance with DB. :p Honestly, it turned out a bit better than I expected. A 6-1 loss and 9 PS points? I can thank those dozen K's and no walks. I was thinking earlier I would definitely be seeing red! Had I taken Bahston, I would have still been in 3rd. Yeah - that small offensive problem we talked about....

It took 19 days, but the standings are finally just about normalized.
I wouldn't look for too much movement from here on in.

First, let's start the morning off with an explanation of the 13 point adjustment to the Cleveland pitching totals (see official scores below):
The pitching scores from yesterday have Cleveland credited with 22 points instead of 9. It seems that the four runs Toronto scored in the first inning were unearned. I checked the play-by-play
TORONTO 1ST -Bottom of the 1st inning -F Menechino grounded out to second. -C Gomez reached on infield single to second. -A Rios singled to center, C Gomez to second. -C Delgado grounded out to second, C Gomez to third, A Rios to second. -V Wells homered to left, C Gomez and A Rios scored. -J Phelps homered to left. -G Zaun lined out to second.
4 runs, 4 hits, 0 errors Cleveland 0, Toronto 4
and couldn't figure out why, so I checked the boxscore (actually at three different sources)
I noticed that Cleveland was credited with in an error in the final boxscore, but couldn't find it in the play-by-play. Then I noticed that Toronto's Gomez, who had an infield single in the PBP, didn't have any hits in the boxscore.
So I'm assuming that his first inning infield single was changed in the scoring to an error, making the runs unearned.

It's been scheduled since the beginning of the season, so no excuses. Sorry, no rain out. It's supposed to storm in the Ocean City area, but nothing in Baltimore. Just cloudy.

I dunno - even if you don't know when double headers are scheduled (who has time to keep track?) isn't it pretty obvious when you look at the schedules for the day? And as far as what said about the standings normalizing and forseeing little movement - I somewhat disagree. Just because the standings are more or less as they were in a prior year - well this is a whole new ballgame. I look to see one person in particular move way up and a specific top 4 contender crash and burn beyond recovery... I'd be willing to bet we see some movement in the weeks to come.

Oh C'mon... I'm not going to name names but seriously, I think someone in the top 4 will make some considerable and unforgiving mistakes... How do you know I was not talking about myself? I can see someone from the middle pulling forward and someone on top drop towards the middle. I really wasn't considering myself - but you never know!!!! :p

I guess the point I was trying to make is that nothing is ever as predictable or concrete as seems to think it is. If it was - it would be no fun.... DISCLAIMER: I am not making predictions about anyone's ascension or descension. But I do think there will be movement before it is all said and done. I could be wrong. But I hope not. It makes for a more interesting game. And yes, I don't discount alot of movement could be done by me.

Sorry, but for 1st I have Olerud. The old man is slipping. 5, 10 years ago would he have made a mistake like that?
