Not saying it gonna happen, but since I'm the only one that took the M's pitching staff and we all basically have the same offensive players, I could make a big leap tonight if the M's pitch great and Baltimore pitches horribly. I'm not a fan of either staff and chances are, neither will score too well, but this is a big chance for me to move up a few spots.

Or, as I just realized while hitting the reply button, I could fall even further down in the standings if Seattle loses big points tonight while the Orioles score well. But I'm an optimist. I think tonight will be a good night for me.

Game 1 is a slugfest -- luckily most of us are in the same (sinking) boat...

DH Hairston I'm not gonna look up the cap values, but I seem to remember that with the Baltimore PS it was 51.7, so sacrifices had to be made somewhere... Some took Newhan instead of Mora. I figured with two lefties going for Seattle, Newhan might not play both games. DB took Roberts & Lamb, instead of Boone & Hairston. Buffy took Ledee instead of Ibanez CB took Wells and FS took DeJesus instead of Winn SC took Varitek & Crisp instead of Javy & Winn I figured out of all the guys in the "ideal lineup", the one least likely to play both games was Palmiero, given that Seattle was pitching two lefties, and Palmy hasn't hit lefties for shit this year. Of course, I could be wrong, but that's how I figured it

For crying out loud. How can you pick players from two teams and then a pitching staff from the same two team only and then bitch because it is a slugfest. You get your points from offense and nothing from pitching. You still have 55 points for one single game. The same as getting 25 points from your pitching staff and 25 points on offense Unless you get your players from one team and the pitching staff from the others, you can't expect to much more. Not that you don't know that, but hell, I feel better now!

Is the Ass Commish deleting people's post now? Talk about abuse of power. I'd double dawg dare you to delete one of mine. I type faster then you. I'll just keep posting, and posting, and posting. You'll never get a minute to take your pee break. The Olerud thing!! Why was there not an * next to his name. Am I supposed to be required to know everything about every single person who put on a uniform. Whatever happened to, "Just pick players without going over the cap. It's that simple"? Boy, were we ever bamboozled.

Ok, I have a stupid, serious question. Yeah, it's both. Trust me. Our favorite viagra man also has a local commercial here for a security company. The idea is you stick this sign on your lawn and burglars stay away. Ralphie baby gives a statement. "If these signs prevent stealing, I'll plant one at first base". How the hell do you steal first base? What a stupid choice of words. Wouldn't it do better to be planted at "second base" so no one steals that? Now I feel better. That makes 3 of us so far.

Palmiero is in the lineup for Game 2. Javy is not - not even as a DH - maybe he will be called to PH or something. Guess we can't complain with 9 points from him. Ichiro is not playing in Game 2 either. No harm no foul since all but MC had him.... gotta just live with his 9 points as well...

Looks like ESPN changed the "Game Update" format. More new shit to get used to. And not that it matters, since everyone has him, but how do you "rest" a guy (Ichiro) who's 41 for his last 78 (.526 )?
