Oakland/Minnesota into 15 innings!!! CB got a lucky break there. It's like he got a free DH all to himself. I would moan about having 3 guys not playing, but beings I think everyone had one person not in it I'm sure I'll get no sympathy.

MORE USELESS STATISTICAL INFORMATION (I expect everyone to read and analyze this stuff and come up with intelligent comments other than "Get a life" or "You've got too much time on your hands"). -------------------------------- Bill James used to keep track of stuff like "tough losses" (losing the game when allowing 3 runs or less) and "cheap wins" (winning the game when allowing 5 runs or more). I thought it would be fun  to figure that out for us, which led me to seek even more useless information regarding not only how many points we get when our PS wins, but, equally important, how many points do we get (or lose) when we pick a losing PS? So, without further ado... Cheap Tough
W's Pts. Avg. Wins L's Pts. Avg Losses
LD 516 20 445 22.2 2 7 71 10.1 4
PL 428 18 363 20.2 2 9 65 7.2 3

You need the book "How To Pick A Pitching Staff" even more.
You're 5th in offense, only 4 points out of fourth.
But in pitching, you're next to last. Plus, you have the lowest average of points per win, and you're sixth in average points per loss.

My pleasure. As pitching is more important than offense, that book retails for $14.95. Plus shipping and handling. If you don't like it or want it, you can always send it back. :p

SC 221 9 178 19.8 3 14 43 3.1 3 This pretty much confirms what we've known all along. LD - Great at picking PS. Not many cheap wins and from her 7 losses, 4 of them were tough losses, so she was right on the verge of having a REALLY good day 4 times. DB - Tied for the lead in cheap wins. Tied for the lead in tough losses. Translation - I suck at this game. CB - He either bombs or does really well. Last night was no exception.

MORE FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF USELESS STAISTICAL INFORMATION I decided to look at all the Pitching Stats, 'cause I was wondering why I had 67 more pitching points than CC when I only had 2 more wins, 2 more IPs, and a higher E.R.A. The difference of course, is strikeouts, walks, and hits allowed. I also figured that checking everyone's total across the board would serve to check my stats as well. I did discover that MC is -1 from what I calculated, FS is -2, and SC is -2. I'm not gonna go looking to find my mistake (probably it's because I round-off innings pitched), but I adjusted the season totals above. So, without further ado....

FS vs CC for fifth place - No guesswork now. Thank me, CC, for giving you the positive reverse-anti-jinx for using the "?" next to your PS. 14 pts from Mora didn't hurt you, either.

I was not gonna say anything about the "?" during the game for obvious reasons. Borkowski has a good arm. I knew he'd get me some k's. 9 ain't that shabby. Why didn't FS get the ROLF emicon like I did when I picked Texas PS? :p

Unless you get your players from one team and the pitching staff from the others, you can't expect to much more. So let's see......You picked the Texas PS, and then you picked three players from Baltimore, who was playing Texas. I got that right, didn't I? :p
