Ass. Commissioner's Suggestion:

First, we need to reach a consensus on what the below paragraph from the rules mean:

SUSPENDED/DELAYED GAMES
A game is considered suspended when at least one pitch was thrown on the scheduled day of the game before play is stopped. When a game is suspended, the stats for the game will be displayed on the date that the game was originally scheduled. [b]When the game is made up, the stats for the appropriate dates will be rerun to reflect the completion of the game and the effect on all team statistics. Even if the suspended game is completed as part of a double header at a later date the points will be credited to the original game date.
A game is considered delayed when a pitch is never thrown on the scheduled day of the game. A game that is delayed will have its stats displayed on the day that the game is made up.

The above is not exactly what I would call well written, however I interpret it to mean that in cases when a player accumulates points in the suspended game that is completed at a later date, they're gonna go back and credit them to the scores on the date the game was originally played.

One of the ambiguities with the way it is written above, I think, is this phrase:

"When the game is made up..."

What it should say, if we are to assume that you get the additional points, is

"When the game is completed...

Anyway, should we decide that the additional points accumulated by players in that game after the game was suspended should count, and if ESPN does not credit those points, which would be contrary to our interpretation of the rules, then I think we should manually calculate those points, and credit them accordingly.

Edit
I did the calculations...

JG: Everett (got all 3 points he's entitled to)
LD: Bagwell (Bags scored 5, LD got credit for 3)
DB: Dunn (Dunn scored 7, DB got credit for 6)
CC: Kent (Got the 1 point she's entitled to)
MC: Beltran (Beltran scored 4, MC got credit for 3)
FS: LaRue, Kent, Pena (LaRue scored 3, FS got credit for none; Pena scored 2, FS got credit for none; FS did get credit for Kent's 1.)

So, if we need to add the points in ourselves, it's

LD +2
DB +1
MC +1
FS +5

Your Ass. Commissioner
Working harder to serve you better [/b]
LD +2
DB +1
MC +1
FS +5

Hey, I'm on top of things. I believe this is where the scoring adjustment stems from

PL: Rolling along. Will he finally win a second half?
DB: Still challenging. Widening the gap between him and 3rd place, as expected.
LD: Is pitching really the name of this game? If only she could find her offense.
JG: Early season leader, but fading fast. Will he even hang on for fourth?
CC: She's the hottest player in the league and battling for third. Can she get on top of JG?
FS: The dog days of August and "The Three G's" are here for him: Grilling, grass cutting, and girls.
CB: Fading fast and seeming to lose interest. Will he make it to the end of the season?
MC: Has finally caught on. Add in points for 3 doubleheaders he missed, and he's right in the middle of the battle for third place.
SC: Who knows what's up with him? At least he has a shot next season for "Comeback Player Of The Year".

MY My, Bethie you have Pee on the run. I think I see him or maybe his blood prssure is up.

Morning all. It was another early day for me and I am just taking a quick break between tasks.

Way to go Bethie, nice scores last night. That is showing that the group from the basement does have its days. Poor Geoff tho.

I notice a few picked Boston for today. Did you notice that the #1 Boston fan didn't!
It has to make you wonder. Boston has been getting beat up the last few outings. Could that be the reason?

Still, I see that our group has done very well these last few weeks. 90% and above in most cases.
There were a number of good pitchers out there for today. Dam, why couldn't we spread the wealth of pitchers out over a few days.

That #1 Boston fan can't get out of his own way. If he didn't pick Pedro, you gotta figure he made the wrong move.

Pedro is too fickle for me. Some days he's up. Some days he's down. You never know who's gonna show up.

With the exception of CB it looks like everyone has at least one partner to play with today.

What are you talking about?

From "The Department Of Useless Statistics":

"DB is on a four game losing streak with a 4.37 E.R.A. and 33 points (8.25 PPD) over those four games.

But in the 12 days prior to that, he was a sparkling 12-0 (one DH, one rainout), with an E.R.A. of 3.03, and 221 points (18.4 PPD)."

I hear ya - but I didn't want to change my initials!

Age before beauty?? OK, I'll give you that because some days I feel so old I feel like I'm in my mid-30's! :p

Are you serious plaw?? I certainly don't remember getting that record (although 18.4 ppd is nothing to write home about.)

Very weird.

I guess I'm just looking out for a break-out game where I can get both my offense and PS in gear. You know - the kind of game that strikes fear in the heart of man!

I meant "youth" before beauty....honestly, wasn't calling you old!

If you are feeling old, stick with me...I haven't felt mid-30's since well, I WAS in my mid-30's. Mentally and physically (and possibly developmentally? ) I guess I will always be a decade behind.

Now LD....She has something to complain about: No offense.

Except for MC, she's dead last in offensive points. But remember, she had all 3 doubleheaders going, and MC didn't have any. So while she has 32 more points on offense than MC, it took her thre more games to do it.

Code:
       Pitching Percent of

Shhhh - don't tell anyone but I think I am gonna take the entire Kansas City Royals on the road.
