Hey, if a guy is in a straight jacket, what else can he do other than verbally abusing him.

I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti. Hssssssss!

plaw says "The All-Important Battle For The Overall Points Title"

I'm still trying to figure out what's so important.

Things I Don't Think I Think....I Think.

1. Fantasy Baseball doesn't affect world politics.
2. I found another example for obsessive compulsive behavior, well, close.
3. I'm always lucky at picking things that win me big dollars.
4. Women find me more attractive when I tell them that I'm a member of the Gangster BB.
5. Most people prefer amateur sports to professional.
6. Cigarettes will go the way of the passenger pigeon.
7. Derek Jeter will publicly announce that Alex Rodriguez was the cause of his early-season slump.
8. The Giants will win the Super Bowl this season.
9. George Steinbrenner will marry that Hilton girl.
10. Crabby will win the All Important..whatever.

If you guys want too see something funny enough to put you in a straight jacket you should be at my house watching me and my daughter paint my bedroom. Good thing I like the color purple cause I'm covered in it.

The splitting of a baseball season into two "halves" is an artificial device used by ESPN to give all the losers a fresh start and keep them interested, and possibly draw some new players into the game. Everyone knows that whoever finishes the entire season with the most points is the real champion.

As it's entirely possible for someone to finish second, third, or even lower in each of the two segments, and still come out on top in overall points, I would say that that person is the real champion. Just because they didn't happen to finish first in either artifical delineated "segment" shouldn't detract from their accomplishment.

I hope that answers your question.

Things I Don't Think I Think....I Think.

1. Fantasy Baseball doesn't affect world politics.[

How do we know that Dick Cheney isn't playing, and after a minus day in pitching he advises Dubya to invade Syria or something?
2. I found another example for obsessive compulsive behavior, well, close.
You talkin' about me?
4. Women find me more attractive when I tell them that I'm a member of the Gangster BB.
Mine finds me less attractive. She wishes that they never invented the internet.
5. Most people prefer amateur sports to professional.
'Ya think so? I don't see any college baseball fantasy games around.
6. Cigarettes will go the way of the passenger pigeon.
I hope not
7. Derek Jeter will publicly announce that Alex Rodriguez was the cause of his early-season slump.
Wasn't he?
8. The Giants will win the Super Bowl this season.
That's Eli Manning they got, not Peyton.
9. George Steinbrenner will marry that Hilton girl. She's an heiress and doesn't need the Boss's money. No other way he could get a girl her age.
10. Crabby will win the All Important..whatever. It's the "All Important Overall Points Title".

Oh, I see...all of a sudden they are MY Dodger Blue.

Even though all 4 have them, we sure don't want to find ourselves in the toilet regardless...

Wha..??!! What women?

Seriously? You tell people?

Wonder if women would find ME more attractive as well? Probably not since I mostly only utilize the sports section

I'm the same age as Pork (give or take... )and as I don't REMEMBER Ford Frick intimately...who HASN'T heard of the Ford Frick award?

I am a lifelong NL fan so maybe that is why it jogs the memory...

Plus it appears my attempt to disguise my curse words didn't go unnoticed...everyone is doing it now!!!

ha! I drove one of those for a VERY short time a while back.

One step away from the mini-van. Very bad for my image.

DB, I thought you were going to say you once dated a model from the Ford Agency! :p

I'll bet it was the anti-Arizona pick. With Gonzo out for the season, they are suffering miserably.

But I still wouldn't risk a Vogelsong with the way Shea and Bautista have been hitting lately....

Yeah....Ford Frick the Prick.

Frick was the baseball commissioner when Roger Maris hit his 61 homers, and it was Frick's idea to put the asterisk in the record books.

Prick!!

Yeah, I didn't feel like pickin' the Yankees so I went with the entire Pittsburgh team, since they were playing those stinky Arizona Diamondrings. I have to find some way to enjoy this form of public humiliation.

I dunno, MC.....

I'd at least be trying to hold off SC and stay out of the cellar.

I mean, Ryan Vogelsburg? C'mon. Pick a whole offense if you want, but Ryan Vogelsburg for chrissakes?

Yes, Ryan Vogelsburg, he's from my hometown of Efelsfleth, Germany. He's got an awesome split-finger slow ball.

BoSox won 5-4, but you'd never know it by the site stats which are all screwed up. I can't even get a final box score to calculate the PS yet...
