First off, I don't think I could afford him.
Secondly, he had a .154 BA against Benson.
Third, lefty-lefty against Leiter, tho he has better numbers against him (at the same time, Leiter is a better pitcher).
Fourth, while Helton's BA is hot, it's all been like 0-3 pts/game.
Fifth, Daryl Ward had a great couple games after getting off the DL, and has good numbers off Lefties (tho at the same time,Perez is a good pitcher).

But I think it basically was what I could afford, having the Cubs PS. And I didn't do the math, but, if I could've afforded him anyway, I guess I just went with the hotter bat at the time. I don't know...
