Good, now play on, as long as you don't let the game get to you.

I guess that is where you and are two diiferent people. I can't make you believe me, but that is the truth and that is the way I feel about this game.

Now, put me at a table betting Black and you will see me keeping my mind on what I am doing. But even you understand the difference between the two levels.

Well, strangely enough, I do and I don't.

My honey doesn't understand why I'm so into this fantasy stuff when there's no money involved. But she's a chick, so I don't expect her to understand the competitive nature of her man.

I guess I get more pissed at myself if I make a bad play in blackjack or poker than I would if I'm hung up between two pitching staffs and pick the wrong one, but still......

Nothing wrong with your picks that I can see....

The only place you can get really hurt is with your PS.

I'm sure it took JG's presence to remind you about the DH today, though

Ramirez doesn't play, Florida gets 7 runs in 13 hits and about 30 offensive points, and Lowell, the only guy in the starting lineup to not get a hit, goes 0-5, and gets me a big fat friggin' zero.

And that is why some of us, for whom life revolves around fantsy sports, choose to stay home and miss a good time with friends in Chicago when the season has only three and a half weeks to go and they are in a close race for first place and need at least two hours a day to do the proper amount of research to select a team.

Edit: Given the speed at which the game site has been running (it just took me 15 minutes - no exaggeration - to check last night's scores and get today's pitchers), you may need two hours just to set your roster for tomorrow.

I'm gonna start doing my team now......

Three good races shaping up as we head towards the final three weeks, with only CB and MC seemingly locked into their positions and with nothing to play for, although both SC and FS are looking to pass CB as they battle among themselves.

I could have picked my team, but I was too tired and a little tipsy. I left most of the group in the bar when I came up to my room. No problem there, but I left my laptop with them. Little did I figure those drunkards would wait until 2:00 (closing time) - which is 3 A.M. New York time - to return. It was, obviously, too late to make my picks. Whats worse than that? I could have used the keyboard and internet connection in my room.

In any event, THANK YOU, plaw for the champagne. The way it was delivered gave us all a laugh, and it was REALLY appreciated. It would have tasted better if you were there to drink it with us, but........

OK, enough of that sappy shit, you windbag!

I expect FS will re-claim his position above me.

I said it's not nice. I never said I wouldn't.

Actually, as you know so well FS, my time for that has passed, and I have handed the baton, so to speak, to the Youth of America.

I guess I should amend the above statement to say "I never said I didn't."

I heard a cute quote from The Atlanta Braves. The catcher Eddie Perez was on the team plane flying home when the team doctor came up to him an said, "How's my favorite catcher doing today"? To which Eddie replied, "How should I know. He's in Baltimore".

I have no idea why I felt the need to post that.

I believe it. How else did you come up with Buck at catcher last night?

Now see if you can figure out what happened to Aunt Grace's friggin' ring.

(BTW, Swami Consigliere - SC - You're tied for 9th place for this week on the leaderboard. High score yesterday was 109. Too bad you sccrewed up today :p ).
