Below, some reasons why I picked Radke over Schmidt. Lo and behold, Radke has given up 3 runs already in 3 innings.

Code:

RADKE (11-7, 3.43)
(Minn 46-30 at home, Balt 37-38 away)

Home (2004) 7-5, 2.91
vs O's (04) 0-0, 1.29
Sept (2004) 2-0, 0.82

SCHMIDT (16-6, 3.14)
(SF 43-31 at home, SD 43-33 away)

Home (2004) 9-5, 3.36
vs SD ('04) 1-2, 8.15
Sept (2004) 1-1, 6.14

At least it's 9-0 Yanks after 2 innings!

Why is it if a player gets hit by a pitch he doesn't get a point, but if he's intentionally walked he does? Either way the batter had nothing to do with getting on base.

Can someone explain to me why two teams who are battling for playoff spots (Texas and Anaheim) "rest" two of their best players (Soriano and Anderson) with 16 days to go?

Bunch of friggin' wusses.

Can anyone explain to ME how Radke and the Twins are pieces of shit the one time all fucking year I pick them, with that awesome record he had against the fucking pesky O's? Schmidt, I expected from him... but c'mon, this was supposed to be my shining moment of the season, with the lone pick, with those numbers... and I got totally fucked!! (And it didn't feel good, at all)

Jgeoff I use Sportingnews as a fantasy baseball source.

I had schmidt and Radke on 4 of my 9 teams and they do NOTHING,I take carpenter on 3 teams he does ok but only 3.1 innings of work and no win leads to nothing. I take maddux who has a great start then gets lit up.

I take Jaret Wright on 4 teams hoping for him to just go plus and he has A WONDERFUL GAME...

Schmidt has been kinda shaky all season though, he may get wins and have good starts but he cant seem to finish games and once he gets in a hole like guy on 3rd 1 or 2 out he is done for

EDIT: I love fantasy sports in general I would love to get in your guys games for whatever sports you do is that ok?

You're welcome to join the baseball game here for the last two weeks, just to se how you'd do .

The instructions for joining our league are o page 1 of this thread.

You could also join the ESPN "salary cap" game, and the weekly "Pigskin Pick 'Em" also. Even though you missed week one, if you did well for the remainder of the season you'd still have some bragging rights.

Just keep reminding us that you "Started one week late."

Finally, watch the sports forum in mid-October for the start of fantasy basketball.

Or you could crash and burn with the double dose of misery that is the NYM/Pitts PS. Just food for thought.

Good luck though.

4 of us missed the memo that Kendall is serving his suspension this weekend. And DB's 2 non-DH players have 14 pts btwn them so far. I am quite shocked at the 1-0 game right now in the 8th -- but that sure doesn't help offense at all...

NEWS: September 18
SKINNY: Kendall's four-game suspension was reduced to three and he'll return to action after sitting out the Pirates' weekend series, the Associated Press reports.

SPIN: Kendall will miss Saturday's game as well as Sunday's doubleheader against the Mets. He'll return to action on Tuesday against the Cubs following the team's off day on Monday.

So much for my "sources"
