Considering that 38 was from pitching, a high total in itself because of the doubleheader, pretty bad.

Hey, I just calls 'em as I sees 'em.

I don't believe in sugar coating the bitter pills of life. He asked a question, I just gave him in answer.

Perhaps you would have preferred something like this:

Not bad at all for a first day.

Actually, it was splendid, wonderful, beautiful, gorgeous, fantastic, terrific, excellent, marvelous, unbelievable, incredible, exquisite, and superb.

Keep up the good work. I have nothing but the highest of hopes for you, wish you the very best of luck, and expect you to do extremely well.

Better?

Sorry to off on a tangent about this. But I guess this is the life we've chosen so we just need to deal.

I respect Plaw for being a stand upguy.

The double header threw me off because I'm used to being able to lose points if your guys have a bad game, so in all of the leagues im in its suicide to put a guy in a doubleheader because if he has two bad guys you can wind up losing 20-25 points which is HORRIBLE. Don't worry, give me a few days to get used to it and I'll be competition.

It is at sportingnews.com

It is free to sign up and they are about to run a baseball playoff game. you win money if you do good the top 250 teams get something (starts at around 500 for first and all the way down to 10 for 125-250th)

And you only get 15 trades for the season (and then you earn 2 trades every other week)

I can give you a quick rundown of the scoring:

Everytime a batter gets up and does not get a hit whether he flies out grounds out or hits into a fielder's choice its -2 points.
Each time a batter strikes out its -3 points.
A walk or a hbp is +3
A single is worth 5, double 10, triple 15, homerun 20.
Each run scored is 5 and each rbi is 5 (meaning each solo homerun will get you 30 points)
A stolen Base is worth 10 and if the guy is caught stealing its -5.

For pitching its 15 points per inning (5 per out) each hit that is given up is -5 each Earned Run is -10. Each walk or batter hit is -3.
A lose for a pitcher is -15 and a win is +30

Also I forgot this:

Each save is worth 30 points.

you pick a catcher, 1b/3b (corner infielder), 2b/ss (middle infielder), 2 outfielders.

When you choose, all of the 1b and 3b are in the same column you pick 1 same for 2b/ss all outfielders are grouped together and you pick 2.

So you have 5 batters.

Pitchers go by each individual pitcher. You also have closing pitchers to choose from.

You get 3 pitchers per team (any combo of starting and closing)

That is pretty much it if you have any other questions let me know

Gee kid, you aren't doing so well. You missed the double header, Pee has written you off and now you have missed out on Bethie's league famous Pom Poms. Good thing you are starting early, you have a lot to get thru yet.
Maybe if you are lucky, you will have a bunch of Uber points built up. After all isn't all about Uber points folks?

Über, baby!

It's basically your accumulated points year after year in ALL the ESPN games you've played. Click on someone's name in the group rankings, then click on Über results, and you'll see. For example, here's mine

I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! tongue lol
