That's it, Bethie - no more help from me! It's too close to the end. You're now on your own...! :p
I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! lol Whaddaya want me to do? Whack a guy? Off a guy? Whack off a guy? --Peter Griffin My DVDs | Facebook | Godfather Filming Locations

Well DB, My Most Worthy Adversary, you have proven again to be a most worthy adversary. Just when I thought I was comfortably out in front, you pulled me back in. And I'm glad you did, too. Should make the last ten days quite interesting. Here's to 'ya... Our Key Match-ups today: Moeller - Barrett Wilkerson - Thome Branyan - Speizio G. Anderson - Wells

Wow, Geoff. I gain a whole 8 points on you and you're sweating bullets. And you just had to take Santana today didn't you? Thanks for the congrats. It makes the last couple of crappy days feel a little better. And a special thanks to Pee for not saying anything. We all know what that would mean. :p

What? I should congratulate you for the best score of the day?

Two of my picks were hunch picks (Thome, Wells), Barrett was a pick because I know he's playing tonight (how could I have made that Posada mistake - I swear I thought the Yankme game was a night game - ), and the Speizio pick was a fill-in pick. All the rest of the picks, which we matched up on, were statistical picks. I know that Wilkerson was a statistical pick for you and you picked Moeler because you knew he was playing. I'd be willing to bet that Anderson was a hunch pick and I'm not sure about Branyan, possibly fill-in. Just goes to show that we're playing the game the same way. This wouldn't be sharing strategy, would it?? :p

The only one around here who thinks that's important is FS. That is OK Bethie, You did great on a tuff day for many people. There were some hard choices to make when people started planning with those two teams. Hey, many people went outside the DH for there PS. Pee, maybe because it would show some sportsmanship? Then again, she had 4 times your score, so I am sure that you are in no mood to be nice to anyone. Hey, picking that wrong is almost as bad as missing the DH. But on a another note: You have been having a bad week this week. You are running very near the bottom of our league this week. Is everything OK?

She didn't want me to congratulate her, if I understand her post correctly. And I'm only near the bottom this week because of yesterday. Everyone is gonna have a bad day once in a while, even me. Look me up on Sunday. Oh, and what was that term you used? "Sportsmanship"? I don't believe I'm familiar with it.....

It's rare, after all, when you have a team with everyone you want and no fill-ins. But Branyan was by choice. 3-13 lifetime against Clemens with 2 homers. Just goes to show that we're playing the game the same way. Gee, I never noticed that  . I guess that accounts for our consistent 1-2 finishes.

BTW, FS, congratulations. You're back on the Leaderboard for the week, tied for 30th. What kills me about yesterday, nothwithstanding the huge dent that DB made in my lead, was dropping from 70th place to 111th and losing about 40 points on the overall Leaderboard. Damn, I really want to finish in the top 50

YESSSSS. Make note to oneself. Send old girlfriend a ticket to Iraq. I have a wonderful Idea. Do what Castro did in Cuba. Empty our prisons and give all our major problems over to that region so they can start a new start over there. We could send 100 thousand of them and would save billions in our budget. It takes about 50 thousand a year to keep them locked up. so $50,000 X 100,000 bad asses= $5,000,000,000. How come Bush and Kerry didn't come up with that idea?

I want to finish in the top 10% (ie. 90%). Considering I was hovering at the 65% level just a few weeks ago I think thats quite an improvement, and I've finished above 90% all three previous segments.

Day before yesterday was the highest I've ever been this late. Had I taken Colorado, I would have been 7 points out of 50th place.
