If you're in the lead in the spot you're battling for (PL, JG, & FS), then one doubleheader is great (assuming you don't miss it  ).
The choices are limited, and unless it's the last day or two and they're hoping for a miracle, the person behind you (DB, CC, & SC) pretty much has to use the same doubleheader players you do, so the chances for a big gain are usually minimal.
But three DHs on the same day is an entirely different story. That's the best thing that those who are behind can hope for.
With all the viable choices, plus the chance for double points, it's literally like adding an extra day to the schedule.
Accordingly,
I declare today to be the most important day of the season.
It's certainly possible that even given the number of different players everyone has in their head-to-head matchups that the points will end up fairly close after today, but I believe there's the more likely chance for some major movement.
May the best man (or chick) win.

Last night was difficult. It was one of those nights that I took a little bit longer than usual. About double my normal time - only to go back an hour and a half later to pick a different pitching staff (BTW, I had the Yankees all the way until midnight my time, until I rebooted my computer and picked the Phils). Picking the Pitching Staff sucked last night: Yanks - probably THE pick last night, but I figured everyone would pick them Twins - They almost have one win guaranteed, but who wants to pick against the Yanks offense?? Toronto - No brainer, no pitchers of note Baltimore - I was THIS close to picking them, but the friggin' Toronto offense is so unpredictable. Bruce Chen's numbers looked great against Toronto but I had no clue who the other guy was. Pirates - Only MC picks Ryan Vogelsong. Phils - I don't know why I chose them. It was an anti-pirate, anti-defense pick more than anything. Plaw's right - today will decide 1st place and 5th place and it may decide 3rd place (too close to call right now).

I don't know that it will decide the race between you and I. There's always the chance that the day will come out around even. The only way it can be decided is if I have a big day and you don't. If you have the big day and I don't, we'll be close going into the final four days. BTW, I was listening to one of the sports talk radio stations here, and Twins manager Gardenhire said that Santana is coming out after five innings no matter what.

Small world SC, Mark Roth and my dad have eatten together years ago. Pop also had a friend who ran on the tour for a few years. Not a super big name as Mark, but it did give him the chance to hang out and meet so many of the greats back then. The tour did stop here in Syracuse for a number of years and Don (my dads childhood friend) and his traveling roomate back then would stay at our home while here. It saved them some money that week on the road and they enjoyed a home vs a hotel. lol fathersson, that chapter in my life is already written. I was averaging 212-218 when I was 14 and 15 years old. I was throwing a storm fire power, orginal chaos, sledgehammer and a target zone. Then I got hurt and started having problems with my legs so I took time off and didnt come back til November of 2003. I couldn't believe my eyes, people had no form no intelligence no nothing and they are averaging 210-220 EASY. I drill up 3 balls, I have no form and I'm averaging low 200's with out even trying.... I go to a tournament in a house that I ran away with a tournament there when I was 15 shooting 279,279,279,258,259 for qualifying then shooting 705 in the semis and winning 269-248 in the finals ...I go there and go +80 for 5 games and WAS NO WHERE NEAR THE CUT...the person leading had about 12 balls there and knew nothing just how to switch balls. After about 4 months of dealing with the leg pain that I had and having to get used to the new equipment and what had to be done I decided to give it up again.

So when are you joining the tour?
----------
A starting pitcher has to go at least five innings to be eligible for the win.

Now there must be the answer. You must have the easy lanes where you are. GOD, if everyone was doing that well (and so easy) by you then they must do something special on those lanes. Because you wouldn't be shooting that around here unless the house sets the shot up easy. (which they don't do here) What weight were you throwing back then and what kind of shot were you throwing to hit that well? also how many 300 games have you had?

[/b] Well I went from Connecticut down to Maryland and didnt see that many "hard shots", from a business aspect of it, people want to shoot big scores so if they can do it at your house they will go there more. I joined a league when I was 14 called a sport shot league, they put down the shot for the high roller and I averaged 203. When I was 14 I was throwing 14 pounds, depending on hand position I either played 10-10, or stood 25 out to about the 8 board. For tournaments I prefered playing lines other people couldnt, so I would usually take my firepower and stand 38ish and play EXTREMELY tight, like standing 38 getting it out to about 16, can't get any tighter than that lol Sanctioned 300's I have 0 (lol)....in tournaments I had 3 so 3 total in competition, 3 299's 5 298's 1 297 ::cough:: 1 296 ::cough cough:: I was never great under pressure with front 11 as you can tell lol

All those games and combos. looks like MC is the big scorer for the night. SC did gain some ground though. Good for you SC. Other places didn't move much. Geoff gains afew points on Bethie also I guess.

Key Events The Last 24 Hours:
PL: Shaves a day off the schedule and loses only 2 points. DB: Loses a day off the schedule and gains only 2 points. JG: Gains 41 points in the battle for third CC: Santana pitches only 5 innings, leaving with the lead. Then misses today's doubleheader. FS: Also burned by Santana. Loses 46 points of a 68 point lead in the battle for 5th. SC: Goes out on a limb with the Balt PS, and it pays off. Chops away 2/3 of his deficit in the race for 5th. CB: Manages to stay on the positive side in PS points, as Oakland continues to slide. MC: Having the entire Yankee team since Sept 21st finally pays off for the blind squirrel. Cuts CB's once insurmountable 407 point lead in the race for 7th place down to a much more managable 359. DM: Learns that a starting pitcher has to go at least 5 innings to be eligible for a win.
