Yes, you are

If StL wins tonight, you'll be looking to replace seven guys, with only four trades, while I'll be looking to replace four guys with three trades.

If Houston wins, it's 6 and 4 for you, and 3 and 3 for me.

Either way, you'll be two more players short than I am, but I'm rooting for Houston so I can dump Pujols and free up his $10 million plus in cap room.

SC could be back in it, too. If Houston wins, he has one trade left to replace two guys.

You could finish in your usual spot....Third :p

I already screwed up by not waiting to see who the winner of tonight's game is. But, I figured, I'm not about to drop Clemens before tonight's game plays out. If Hou goes on, I could be in not-so-terrible shape, as next Tuesday I can get rid of my two worthless leftover Yanks. If St Louis goes on, I no doubt drop to third.

Good thing this game doesn't count, it's just for practice. :p

Rookie mistake

I dropped my Yankee players, and figured I'd replace them after the StL-Hstn seies was over. I forgot you had to have a full team.

Well, considering it's already Saturday and we haven't discussed it in a few days; and, since no one else has shown any interest; and, since it's impossible to create a decent lineup while remaining under the cap -- I think I'm gonna bow out of the "BBC WS" we were thinking of doing.

Well, I'm totally fucked in the SN game.

I was hoping for a Hou win, since I already had Clemens, and then added Beltran. So, those two, plus my two Wanks still on there. 4 Bos players have to hold me 'til Tue. I'll never have a full lineup now; not good.

By joining so late, DMC, you have an advantage. You were able to concentrate on the teams that were gonna be in the Series.....those who started the game from day 1 had to split their rosters among 8 teams, and there wasn't enough time (or trades allowed) to get to the final teams.

Thats my objection to this stupid setup.

SC you are right. That is why most people who play that game have between 10 and 15 teams. They set themselves up for a whole load of possibilities and then if say they thought it would be the astros and redsox in the world series and it turns out its not they just forget about the team.

Espn is more for ONE team, this is more for MANY teams.
I took 1100th during the regular season out of 375,000 teams but I had 9 teams. 3 of them were around the 1100-2500 slot 5 were around the 20,000 spot and one was like 85,000. So if it was the playoffs I would have stopped playing those other 6 teams and just consentrate on the 3.

There is a brunette, redhead and Jeff Suppan on an island. They decide to swim to land. The brunette goes about 1/10th of the way there turns around and comes back. The redhead gets about a quarter of the way there and turns around and comes back. Jeff suppan gets about halfway there, turns around comes back, decides to try for land again goes about 50 feet, then turns around and comes back :p :p

*A super day for SC, whose Sox win and he moves back into 2nd place!

How I held on, I have no idea -- especially with only half my team in the WS! (Then again, that was less opportunity for negative points! )

For once, it's nice to see PL in my usual spot. And ALL of his players were in the WS! (Oh yeah, let's hear the "I started late" thing... :p )

And whew - another game out of the way. Gotta make room for Hoops!

I, too, had forgotten to make my final trades last night. I was going to pick Lowe as one of my pitchers.....DAMN....I would've finished first.

I really didn't like that League, or the way the rules were set up.

Ahh, the game sucked balls, and I can't imagine playing it again. But, I wanted to see what it was like. I cannot imagine being limited to 2 free trades per week -- what schisters (sp)!!

But it was interesting, I guess. A new way to look at fantasy sports. Not the right way (IMHO), but, a different way....

And screw it, cuz no Uber Points for my efforts!!

The game did suck.

Still, factor in the 44 points I lost on the day I forgot to fill all my roster spots, and the fact that I started one day late, and I really won.
