Contrary to a CBS SportsLine breaking news bulletin from CBS Sports insider Billy Devaney, Washington Redskins running back Clinton Portis will not miss significant time this season with an injury.

CBS Sports, Devaney and SportsLine.com regret the error, which was prominently displayed on CBS SportsLine's home page for about 5 minutes late Thursday afternoon. It was egregious and, frankly, unforgivable, and we apologize to our readers, Portis and to the Redskins for publishing the misinformation.

Accurate information is a user and reader commodity we take very seriously, and this story did not meet those standards.

You know with football season upon us reminded me of a bet that you and I made last year. I don't believe you ever 'paid that bet off'. Funny, just thought of that today - think about it over the next few days - after this weekend I am going to have to consider the bet cancelled and you to be a Welsher.

We're going to Shula's Steakhouse in Itasca, Illinois - a podunk suburb not too far from where I grew up (at least for high school). It'll take me about 40 minutes to get there.

We got our first win last night, 21-6.

I only had 1 catch for 11 yards, but we won.
