Pat, I'm English - not stoopid. Rich Gannon?

Try JG.

Anyway, I shouldn't be trading with the enemy. And you're gonna find out exactly what I do to my enemies this Sunday.

Week 7 Analysis...

As I ponder this week's matchups, I am reminded by the great Aristotle, who once wrote, "All human actions have one or more of these seven causes: chance, nature, compulsion, habit, reason, passion, and desire."

DB vs. LD - Chance - With most of her players' games at noon, LD can start composing her ode' early Sunday afternoon!

My prediction: DB in a romp

RB vs. JG - Nature - It is in JG's team's nature not to win another game this year. :p

My prediction: RB in a romp

PL vs. DJ - Compulsion - Look up "compulsion" in the dictionary and you'll see plaw's pic right next to it! :p

My prediction: Plaw's lookin' mighty tough these days

TU vs. PP - Habit: Turi is making winning a habit while PP is going the other way.

My prediction: PP's luck changes this week as Turi is severely hurt by the bye week/suspensions.

IM vs. BD - Reason: "We cannot have knowledge without reason, just as we cannot have reason without knowledge." Funny, BD's posts lack knowledge AND reason. :p

My prediction: BD in a romp

FC vs. SP - Passion: Both have shown great moxie this year. SP's team is coming back in full force. FC's team is strong as always.

My prediction: Too close to call.

And finally, Desire...

My desire to beat Buffy this weekend is as big as her... :p

Heart?

DB in a romp? Romp this:

My lineup is far from set, haven't put my boys where they go yet. You KNOW I have to put on the all-important position playing the Monday night game!

Putting trash talking mode on pause for only a minute, I will say I enjoyed your analysis very much. Good calls there though you err on a few.

You should try pitting your Bulger against your Miami "D". That would make for a crazy Sunday! :p

Another game this year? Did I miss my first win? :p

Ok, that sounded bad.

I wanted to pick up your tight end.

Scoping out my tight end is fine, but no picking allowed!

I see you need a better tight end, as it hasn't caught any balls in the past two weeks. Is there still time left? You can have Putzier if you want... I'll take LDT or TO -- thanks!

Who said you could look at MY end??????

I should give you LT AND TO. But I'm afraid THAT wouldn't even help you!!! You'd probably find a way to goof THAT up! :p

Hey Scruffy, I think Pork is saying you are a hmmm bit loose in the caboose.

Are you gonna take that from him ? :p

I was out of the office earlier in the day - got back right after lunch so ran to cafe and saw one of the specials today was 'Pulled Pork Sandwich'

First - that sounds nasty, but secondly it seems like some sort of omen for Pork. Don't know whether it is a good one or a bad one though.

I try not to pay any attention to what Wuss-man-Big-Daddy-Dunce-Queen-of-the-Board says.

Most of it is useless anyway. Like my statistics (figured I'd pre-empt that comment)

But he did said Hoover sucks. Not me. Hoover.

Buffy has been squirming in her seat. She's a little uncomfortable.

How am I going to beat DB? I really want to beat him.

She gives it a little more thought.

Man, my defense situation is terrible. I CAN'T play Arizona because I have all these Seahawk players in my other league. It'll just make me miserable.

Shaking her head...

Yep, I'm in a pickle here.

WAIT
.
.
.
I KNOW!!!

I'LL PICK UP THE INDY DEFENSE

DB laughs in the background! :p

The INDY defense ???

They are pitiful - Dang there goes my title.

And regarding 'sucking' - true I did say that 'Hoover' sucks, not PL. I would never say that about PL - well not till at least we play. :p

You could start by telling those 300 lb. High School OTs to stay off the Big Macs for a while.

My defense has been my main weakness this season. I se NYJ Defense on waivers and pick it up. Just my luck. Thay play at friggin' New England this week. I'm going to gamble with them. -Pat

I'm in pretty good position here. I'm still within in striking distance in third place, and I've got two guys who are coming back from injury soon... Anquan Boldin and Michael Bennett. When they come back (probably next week for both), they'll be very fresh, having not played this season. Hopefully my patience will pay off.

Joey Heatherton ALWAYS looks good on my bench. When am I EVER going to learn?

Still, Bulger can go limp and get lotsa negative points!!

EDIT: So 2 minutes later Bulger rushes in for a TD.

Hey, all but 2 of my players have late games today. I have hope. Plaw, I bet you're happy you don't have that Atlanta D in. 35-3 at the half (KC).

Monday night game left...

DB 73 (76) (1) Rod Smith left
LD 41 (66) (1) Lelie left; I love the smell of odes in the morning

PL 42 (51) (0) Hoping to hold on
DJ 41 (41) (2) Elam, Cincinnati Defense left... DJ hoping he has some MNF karma coming his way

RB 80 (81) (0) "He just keeps rolling along."
JG 42 (53) (1) 39 point night for Jake the Snake? Let's put it this way - Priest Holmes got 4 TDs and STILL only scored 30 points... Hmmmm

TU 42 (43) (0) Starting Jamal Lewis would have gotten you more points??
PP 60 (60) (0) 6000 posts AND a win?? Insert Big Daddy "Your parents must be so proud" post here. :p

IM 67 (81) (0) Looking to hold on...
BD 35 (61) (2) Looking for big points from Droughns and Denver D

FC 67 (74) (1) THAT is why Priest is #1, Chad Johnson left
SP 62 (72) (1) Rudi Johnson left

Hmmmm... This one is too easy.

Buffy, Pork - care to take a stab at this one?! :p

I'll concede right now. It comforts me a little to know my optimal was not enough to beat Mister Douchebag.

What also comforts me is I beat Mister Buffy in my other league, by alot I must say. We made a bet too, but I cant disclose the details of that bet here...

DB, I will pay up on our bet soon. I am taking a hooky day from work tomorrow and going with a friend to Santa Fe for the day.

Just don't want you thinking I welshed on you if you don't see anyting right away.

Congrats. I'd like to say it was fun, but well, you know.....

I own. I lost the last 5 just so you guys could feel you'd have a chance. Now I'm on a rampage. I didn't even have Portis this week. Oh, it's on. That's the bottom line cause Pat said so.

Damn what a bitter/sweet sunday. Giants and Colts both lost, but at least the good ol' fantasy team came through.
