What if Priest didn't have to come out early? Maybe 7 TDs? I'll have to settle with only 4.

Everyone be serious now, did ANYONE have the Atlanta defense going in ANY of their leagues?

I had them on one team- it was the only team I could afford after picking McNabb and Manning.......needless to say their -300 points didn't help

You'd be better off leaving them on the bench and not playing a defense at all.

Hey, JG....

I think Turi just insulted you. He said he "only" has to play you next week.

You gonna take that from a Brit?

That's twice in the last 25 minutes.

Stand up for America, man. Don't take that shit from a Brit.

DB, I remembered how enamored you were with my singing a particular love song a few months ago. I never knew my talents would come in handy until now!

In lieu of the oft-mentioned ode, I thought I would SING you one of your favorites - and mine

Ready?

*Ahem*

My love,
There's only you in my life
The only thing that's right...

Wait a minute. Endless Love? That was the one you liked hearing, wasn't it????

Nah, too mushy.

How 'bout this one? Sung to the tune of Endless Love:

D B,
There was only you to beat
This only time we'd meet

This first time
Green took the wind out of my sails
Your RB's were tough as nails

And I-I-I-I-I
I want to share
My congrats with you
Noone ( ) else will do

Noone else
Noone else scored as high as yoooouuuuuuuuu
Oooh yes
You will always be
MY endless MWA (yes, pronounced MWAH!)

Two hearts
of QB's that beat as one
Since McNair was out, Bulger beating on his own (no pun intended )

For-ever
I'll hold T.O close to my side
I joked I'd trade him to you but I lied

And MWA
Oh MWA
I'll be a fool for you, I'm sure (as the loser)
You know I don't mind
Yooooooou know I dont miiiiiiind....

'Cause T.O.
T.O means the world to me
even though I found in you
my endless MWA

'Cause noone ( ) can deny
the embarrassment inside
I'll give Jessica Alba to you
My MWA
My .....Endless..... MWA
------

Kinda brings a tear to your eye, doesn't it?

I have a tendency to wear my heart on my sleeve -
I have a history of taking off my shirt.....

That was great Buffy!

... And no, we're not going double or nothing on the Niners - Bears matchup this weekend. With Craig Pretzel and Dr. Quinn, Quarterback Woman, as our QBs, we're not going to win another game this year.

To anyone who follows college football, who's the consensus #1 draft pick next year??

Dr. Quinn, Quarterback Woman ...

So DB, can you decipher this? Think of it as a "bonus" ode....

Hirap at ginhawa
Tayo ay magsasama

Ikaw ang nais ko
Ikaw ang hinahangad
Sana'y paniwalaan mo
Di ka na luluha
Bawat araw ay saya
Ihahandog sayo
Puso ko't kaluluwa
Ikaw ang buhay ko
Ikaw lamang mahal ko

Well, I had to look it up - it's the Filipino version of Endless Love.

Hmmmm... It's weird - I doubt it's sung to the same tune as the American version.

As for a word for word translation...

My Filipino is very bad. I can understand it, but I can't speak it.

Well, I would LOVE to say that I worked hard and researched my head off

But! -

When I looked on a lyrics search site for the E.L. lyrics, there it was - the Tagalong version (among the Ritchie/Ross and other versions)!!!!

Guess someone submitted it thinking it would be needed some day!

My gift to you...

I must be a popular commish... I've been getting PMs from everyone lately.

PL vs. LD
Buffy - Plaw PMed me that he's going to make your losing streak three in a row. He said he would bet another dinner with you, but he said you were a welsher like that guy DB.

Plaw - Buffy said that nothing would give her a greater pleasure, NOTHING, than beating you this Sunday. That's saying something, because Buffy, like most women, love their pleasure.

RB vs. DJ
RB - DJ said that although he agrees with you politically, he said that you'll be Kerry to his Bush. I responded that that sounded funny.

DJ - RB said that "Remember the 4 Superbowl losses in a row by the Bills... That ain't nothing like what I'm going to do to DJ this week!"

TU vs. JG
Turi - Pork said that this week will be like the American Revolution. He'll be the American Colonial, you'll be the Minuteman and that America will stomp all over the British.

Pork - Turi said nothing. He didn't feel like talking trash on a bye week.

PP vs. SP
Pat - SP said that Tupac sucks. You gonna take that from him?

SP - Pat said "I'm going to beat on Cold Wings as if he was going to give big business a huge corporate tax break... yo!"

FC vs. BD
FC - Big Daddy told me about his little problem again. Oops... wrong PM. No, Big Daddy said that you were a wuss from being horse-whipped by your girlfriend and that you should grow a couple of these...

BD - FC said that (1) you were a wuss and (2) the duration of your title with Buffy was like your sex life - unoriginal and "short"-lived ( I belive the quotes signify multiple meanings of the word "short").

DB vs. IM - IM didn't PM me. I think it's because he thinks it's no use if he was going to lose anyway! :p

Anyway, I just thought I should pass these along. Don't kill the messenger! :p

We have Senior Night this Friday. The senior football players and cheerleaders get their name called out before the game, and we give our parents a hug on the 50 yd line. How sweet.

The team we play beat us last year 36-12. But that was last year. We've gotten better and they've gotten worse. This is definitely a win-able game.

Even though its Senior Night, this is not our last home game. That's on Thanksgiving morning against our arch rival.

yo Yo YO - Big Daddy In DA House .....

So I am away for a few days because of the sudden whirlwind that my life has become and I come back and see - basically nothing in this thread. What's up with dat ?

First I want to say that PL is a windbag. Granted that statement has no relevance, I just felt like saying it since he called me a Wuss. :p

Secondly - I see the Scruffy lost yet again (is the L on her forehead now) so there goes my title, shortlived as it was. And although DB got a song where I didn't - at least I got 'bread' Great job again Scruffy

Thirdly - DB's scoring in this league bites - I lose because of Baltimore's defense.

Fourthly - I get to play who this week - Playaz Football Club ?? What the hell kind of 'homo' name is that for a team - not that there's anything wrong with that. Granted we all can't have Macho and Mature names like Da ShagWells but gee Playaz Football Club - well consider the source the guy that can't watch the baseball games because he has to walk his girlfriend around the stadium I will be back on the winning track this week.

Fifthly - Pork, c'mon you are embarrasing yourself - you are the returning champion and you are playing like this - what's up with Dat? Oh and thanks for Westbrook - talk about damaged goods.

Sixthly - PL is still a windbag

Seventhly - I see that Scruffy is playing PL this week - wonder if a bet will be made. You know Scruffy I noticed you were actually doing pretty well UNTIL you started making bets. Than you lost two - must be some bad karma or something. You might be better off not making any bets to see if you can move your team ahead. Although if you do make a bet - maybe if you lose you can send PL some baby wipes or something.

Eighthly - Birds are 6-0 Baby ....

Yes, I am a windbag. And proud of it. At least when I write, I have something to say, even if I can get a bit long-winded. Not like you. Wuss.

The scoring is fine. QB has proven to be the most important position, just as it should be. Not those wussy RBs like it was in your league. Defense should be important too, just like in real life. You're just upset because you didn't figure that all out before the draft.

We actually had a nice IM conversation this morning. It seems as though she "wants to think about it". Sounds like she's afraid to bet if you ask me. Oh yeah....she also called you a wuss.

Big deal

I, for one, am happy when Big Daddy is in MY house.

And no, I never called him a Wuss. I reserve the more colorful adjectives for him

Secondly - I see the Scruffy lost yet again (is the L on her forehead now) so there goes my title, shortlived as it was. And although DB got a song where I didn't - at least I got 'bread' Great job again Scruffy

Thirdly, Fourthly, Fifthly, etc....

Anyhoo.

Ninethly:

So we decided it was "bread"? Great. I get off easy.

No pun intended.

Want me to sing a few bars of "You're so Vain"? I know it.

I would have had a more appropriate song for my Big Daddy, but he keeps calling me Scruffy and now he is calling me a loser.
