In other words RB, there's a possibility that you finish 8-6 along with a slew of other people and it would be up to a tiebreaker to get you into the playoffs.

Hmmmm.....

It took me 234 words to say what you did in 32.

Am I really that big a windbag?

The fact you took the time to count the words in both posts?

I won't answer the above question as my opinion has no merit with you and you will just think I'm mean.

Please. I didn't take the time to actually count them

I pasted my post into a Word Doc, and used the Word Count option in Tools.

Probably took under ten seconds. :p

Congrats FC! Will you continue playing in college?

Week 13 Analysis
DB vs. RB - Current #1 vs. #2, An RB win will clinch a playoff spot; Battle of Minnesota receivers (Moss vs. Robinson)

My prediction: DB

PL vs. SP - SP is currently the team to watch all because of one player; Chicago surprisingly gives Daunte a tough time

My prediction: SP

TU vs. BD - Both players looking to get back on the winning track; Turi possibly jinxed (started losing after he was proclaimed "Team to Watch" by DB)

My prediction: BD

PP vs. FC - Tic toc, tic toc - that's the sound of FC waiting for Priest to heal up; PP one of the hotter teams in the league winning his last 3 in a row

My prediction: FC

JG vs. IM - IM is hurt by injuries; JG looking for his 5th win; 5-Skins doesn't have the same ring to it, does it? :p

My prediction: JG

DJ vs. LD - DJ has been hurt by scheduling; Buffy is hoping for a shootout at Indy

My prediction: LD

What's really funny is I haven't put my team together yet for this week. I haven't had a chance to play with it much.

And DB thinks I can win with it.

If I mess with it now, I may just reduce it down to "squeaker" status.....

The big game this week I think is The Eagles vs. The Packers. My money's on Brett Favre. Not that my money means anything.

I'm with you on that one Beth. 4th and 26 will be too much to bear. I hear revenge coming.

I personally like your fellas taking on the Bengals. Good divisional game and the Ravens need to pick up their play off race. The Steelers will be watching their backs, though not too much. Ravens are still hurt by injuries but their weak offense is bound to put up points against a team that conceded 48 to the Browns last week. Also the Ravens D will not allow anything like 58 points in their house against the Bengals. They're not the Browns - well they've moved since. :p

I never have a good feeling about The Ravens. I always feel the need to write a suicide note or something whenever I watch them. F*cking Kyle Boller. I hope he gets hit by a bus or something.

nice game for drew bennett today. 124 yards receiving for 3 touchdowns - in the first quarter!

I was pretty excited about that! Until I realized he was on my fucking bench!!!!

The "valuable" advice I read:

Quote:
He's popular in Tennessee, he's a frequent end-zone target of Steve McNair... and yet he drops too many passes for us to be comfortable recommending him at this critical juncture of the fantasy season. He'll get you at least 65 yards and maybe a touchdown, but he'll also break your heart by coming oh-so-close to catching another three or four balls.

23 pts - Tampa, 0 PtsAllow, 8 Sacs/Ints/Recs

In my lineup:

-1 pts - Dunce McAllister
-3 pts - Plummer (278 Yds but 4 Ints, 0 TDs)

Who'da thunk any of this??

If I'm not mistaken, if everyone who is leading in their game at this moment holds on for the win, the playoff spots are all clinched.

DB, RB, BD, and FC

True plaw, but IM looks like he'll be shaking things up.

If IM comes back to win against JG this week, there's still a possiblity that three teams can finish at 8-6 for the final two playoff spots.

IM is behind by six points and still has Hasselback and Witten going - I would say he has a very good chance. If JG just had one of his players from his high scoring bench playing, this would have been no contest.

If IM does win - here are the games to watch next week:

PP vs. BD
JG vs. FC
DJ vs. IM

Very strange... The performance of the current 10th - 12th place will determine the last two playoff spots.

Even assuming that IM wins this week, he'd still probably be more than 100 points behind FC and BD in the tie-breaker.

But, yes. Mathematically he'd still be alive.

My team is slumping right now. I'm hoping they get it out of their system now, before the playoffs. I had a sprained Bulger yesterday - and no amount of pills will fix that!

What are the advantages of having the best record out of the 4 playoff teams. In other words, what advantages does the lets say #2 team have against the #3 team going into the playoffs?

The advantage of the #1 seed is that you play the #4 seed, who should technically be worse than the #2 and #3 seeds.

A player should be indifferent between being the #2 and #3 seed.
