Unless IM wins this week , and BD or FC loses, and IM makes up 184 points on FC if he loses, or 219 points on BD if he loses, the playoff spots are clinched.

Also, this week there were no lucky wins or tough losses, the first time that happened since Week 1.

Week 14 Matchups

Lots of playoff implications... BD and FC have the inside track to the final two playoff spots but IM can sneak in there if (i) IM wins AND (ii)BD and FC both lose OR (iii) if either BD or FC lose, IM beats the loser in a tiebreaker.

Also, playoff positioning is at stake. DB currently has the shortend of the stick with the least points among the top 4 in case of tiebreaker after he limped in Week 13 with only 24 points.

DB vs. TU
PL vs. RB
PP vs. BD
JG vs. FC
DJ vs. IM
LD vs. SP

If IM wins and BD and FC both lose, IM still has to win the virtually impossible tie breaker against at least one of them.

Unless I'm misunderstanding you, you seem to be saying with your "OR" between (ii) and (iii), that IM is in if BD and FC both lose.

Nope, I just forgot to write it in.

In effect, IM needs to win and needs at least one of the guys to lose. He needs to beat the loser in a tiebreaker.

I was getting ready with my noose until I realised I had you this week. I can put off the suicide for a week to beat you. Glad to see you around. I missed the banther with BDD last week.

Getting Taylor has to be my smartest move so far of the season. If Jamal is still down, I've got him. The decision could be crucial. Knowing my luck Jamal will be starting, I'll start him but then he'll leave 1st Q with another injury.

I dont really think it matters how the playoff picture is. It will pretty much be a toss up on who wins.

Pork! In another league I played against the guy with Duckett - on his bench too!!!!
Man, I lucked out winning on THAT one!!

I was in Phoenix yesterday for the Niner game - what is with practically every game I see the Niners playing in Arizona, it's an OT game??? I almost missed my flight home last night!!!!

I was actually wishing for a loss yesterday - I wanted Coach Erickson's meeting today to be informing him he was outta there.

I have a tendency to wear my heart on my sleeve -
I have a history of taking off my shirt.....

O.K., we're getting down to the wire here folks.

Here's how the MNF football game will affect the standings:

- If Trent Green scores 16 or more points for BD, he will have the #1 overall seed and will face DB in the first round.

This is assuming that Blaylock doesn't score the nearly impossible 49+ or 34+ points to overtake RB and BD, respectively.

DB limps into the playoffs, losing 3 of his last 4 and getting a grand total of 1 point from his QB in the last two weeks.

Other MNF Issues...

- Whoever wins between SP and LD tonight will make it into the consolation round, playing for 5th place.

Get in there. .500 record will do me for my rookie year.

Good luck to all the uglies going into the playoffs. It's been fun, especially the draft. Same time next year.

Or... he could fumble a couple times then be taken out in the first quarter for breaking a nail. :p

If that happens, I vault all the way from 4th seed to 1st seed. If Trent Green ends up in the negative and loses, BD ends up as the 4th seed.

All I know is, whoever faces me will have the easiest time to get to the finals!

It's Playoff time folks... Officially, Yahoo only follows the top 8 teams - the first four play for 1st - 4th place while the next 4 play for 5th - 8th place. Since I don't want to leave SP, JG, PP and DJ out in the cold, if you guys show interest, set your teams and I'll hand calculate your scores/matchups so you guys can play for 9th - 12th place.

Without further ado, here are the playoff matchups:

CHAMPIONSHIP

#1 BD vs. #4 FC
Previous Matchup:
Week 8: 100 - 61, BD

#2 RB vs. #3 DB
Previous Matchup:
Week 2: 71 - 41, RB
Week 13: 121 - 24, RB

CONSOLATION
#5 IM vs. #8 LD
Previous Matchup:
Week 4: 53 - 45, LD

#6 PL vs. #7 TU
Previous Matchup:
Week 4: 54 - 43, TU

DOUBLE CONSOLATION
#9 SP vs. #12 DJ
Previous Matchup:
Week 1: 64 - 46, DJ
Week 12: 106 - 92, SP

#10 JG vs. #11 PP
Previous Matchup:
Week 9: 59 - 30, JG

Fourth in the league in scoring, and out of the championship round. A victim of the schedule. I may not play next year.
