As of now, FC has 6 TDs (3 from Vick, 1 from Shockey, 2 from Buffalo Defense). BD has 5 (3 from Green, 1 from Davis, 1 from Gates).

It now says 58 - 55, BD. I wonder what happened to FC's three points.

If this is the official score, looks like we'll be meeting in the finals Small Daddy! :p

EDIT: The NFL must be deciding if the blocked punt returned for a TD counts as a Defensive TD. Results aren't final yet.

Alert to the League

I wanted to alert the league on the Official Yahoo ruling on the Buffalo Punt Block for a TD. As you will read below, it counts as a TD for the Buffalo Defense because for Yahoo purposes, the return team is considered a defense until the ball crosses the line of scrimmage. Because the punt block (and subsequent recovery for a TD) was behind the line of scrimmage, the Buffalo Defense will get credit for the TD.

Because of this, FC wins his matchup against BD and moves on to the finals. I apologize to BD and FC for any confusion.

Yahoo Ruling on my Email

Hello,

Thank you for writing to Yahoo! Fantasy Sports.

The Buffalo Bills defense has been accurately credited with two touchdowns in Week 15. Scoring is correct on all team and league pages.

The first defensive touchdown was scored on a blocked punt. This touchdown was not reflected on StatTracker after games had been completed on Sunday.

Blocked punt returns for touchdowns are unique scoring situations in that both units are recognized as defensive units for fantasy scoring
purposes.

The kicking team is recognized as a defense because the purpose of that unit is to prevent the advance of the ball by the returning team (except in the case of a fake). The "return" team is recognized as a defense until a successful punt crosses the line of scrimmage.

Week 15 scoring is consistent with the scoring for all other blocked punt returns for touchdowns in 2004.

Thank you again for contacting Yahoo! Customer Care.

Regards,

Lloyd

No wrestling practice today . This is my first post in a couple of weeks. My season is going well, I have a 6-3 record. I'm still at 152 lbs, but I may have to go down to 145 (a full 20 lbs under my football playing weight)

I am really surprised that I made it to the championship without Priest. It sucks that the Falcons are going to sit Vick this week.

Good luck DB

3rd Place !!!

This is a travisty - I am going to have to report this to the Fantasy Football Federation the corruption that occured here. If Buffalo returns a punt it is not a defensive score, but if the players on the field on the same play block it than it is a score. It's a travisty I tell you, I've been bamboozled and hoodwinked - all caused by our commissioner Douchebag. He found a loop hole so he wouldn't have to play me. < In my best Mr. T. voice > You ain't no champion - I pity the fool the fool that calls you Champ. You no champ you a Chump. A Champion ? You are just a 'Paper' Champion, I'm the real champ, you know it, your family knows it, the world knows it. Commissioner DoucheBag, indeed - should be Commissioner WussBag instead. I'm the true champ - and nobody can take that away from me.
:p

Oh - hope everyone had a Merry Christmas - especially you PL, I know how much you enjoy the Christmas season.

It's about time you made an appearance here.

Stop being a complaining wuss. If anyone has a right to complain, it's me.

Fourth in the league in scoring, and out of the playoffs because of the quirks in the schedule. What a gyp.

I would have kicked your ass too in the Big Dance, you are having your hmmm 'hands full' with a 'chick' this week. I am the Champion baby - King of the World.

Personally I believe this is all your fault anyway PL. Because you constantly keep Commissioner WussBag in second place in those other sissy fantasy games - he resorted to these tactics just to take a win. It's a sad sad story indeed, I hope those other victories mean something now when you see how they have lead what was once a rightous person down a bad path of evil .....

Well, BDD himself makes an appearance... How's it looking down there, Mr. 4th Place!? :p

I've been out of commission this weekend, so I wanted to greet you all a belated Merry Christmas! Hope you've all had a great holidays!

FC, it looks like it's coming down to your kicker. How about a score of 14-10 Philly, with only 2 extra points! :p

I had my optimal team out there, that's all I can do. I don't know if it will hold up, but it's been fun.

Well, there is some skill involved in drafting, trading, waiver and FA pickups, and who to play and who to bench.

But not much.

This game is mostly the luck of the scheduling.

Congrats DB!!

(fanfare ensues; peasants rejoice...)

So now you just need that bumper sticker for your new car which says "Number One DoucheBag".

Did you win in any of your other leagues, DB? I Super Bowl'd my other two and came in 2nd in both. Lost to Mister Buffy in one so essentially the prize money is MINE!

Belated Happy Holidays to all. Been traveling alot since Thanksgiving - also, Carribean last week, Vegas in 2 weeks - and trying to relocate and move into a new place in between.

Peace Up!

So close!

I guess I should be glad that I even made it to the championship, considering Priest only played 8 games. Right now he's 3rd in rushing TDs, and he's missed 7 games!

Good season everyone. I am looking forward to doing this again next year.

Ah well at least I'm not bottom. Of this one at least.

All congratulations to Don Sicilia. Fair game fella. Whadya win?

We should have all chipped in at the beginning of the season and have the winner get the kitty money. How about next one, $15/20 each?

First of all, I wanted to thank everyone for a great season! It's been fun all throughout from the draft, all the way to the playoffs.

FC - It was a close one! Great matchup!
BD - Yes, I know you would have killed either one of us in the finals! :p
RB - Great season!
Plaw - Yes, I will continue winning into basketball.
Buffy - My traveling friend, sorry to hear about your losses in your other league! I finished 6/10 in my other one.
Turi - I was going to give the winner a $100, but since I won...
IM - Nice run before the playoffs!
SP - Great job as top scrub!
JG - One of the better teams in the 2nd half.
PP - Thanks for playing
DJ - Will make the draft on time next year

Thanks again for all the congrats and for everyone staying active all year. Same time next year! Also, if you have a suggestion on how to make the league better (e.g. different scoring rules, head-to-head vs. points format, etc), let me know.
