Well, with the right compression techniques, unlike the lazyness that is the DVD of GF2, a DVD can hold up to about 6 hours footage, so the Saga could easily be fitted onto two discs, with a nice break half way through GF1... The Trilogy could also be fitted onto two discs, as thats about 10+ hours long... Although the studio's would probably stick them on about 3/4 discs, just to meet that release date... noledge

Yup, its certainly possible, as each side can hold up to 6 hours, so you could put every single scene of The Godfather Trilogy ever shot probably onto one disc, and program your DVD player to skip sides really fast, so you don't notice the jump and you'll have nearly 11 hours of UNINTERUPTED Godfather heaven... We can only dream... noledge

LOL! I did try with the Trilogy 1901 - 1980 once, but ended taking it in 3 sittings... I was just too snoozed...

i did watch all three one time. As a matter of fact about 11 years ago when The Godfather III first came out, everyone was talking about how much it sucked, compared to the other two.I waited for it to come out on video and i rented all three. The next day i had a stomach virus so i stayed home from school( which i was in 10th grade at the time) and i watched all three straight. It took all day.... It was one of the best experiences of my life... Except for the scenes with sofia coppola...

It ain't easy, especially when you get to any scene with Sophia Coppola in it. i did do it once before the DVD Saga was out. my college at the time ran a Godfather Marathon day. it was easy to sit through the first 2, i can do that anytime! by the third i was getting tired of sitting GFIII isn't a favorite of mine anyway. i haven't tried it with my new DVD collection in the comfort of my own home.

noledgeI'm fairly sure The Godfather Part II was put onto two discs to ensure optimal audio/video quality. I definitely prefered the two discs as opposed to one double sided DVD. But I think the Saga would nicely fit onto three discs (single-sided), and the Trilogy onto four. I certainly look forward to their release.
