When you call someone a Douchebag and they punch you in your face. When you stay up until 3:00 AM because you can't wait to see everyone's team for the next day. When you only stay in hotels that have a business center. When you have withdrawal symptoms during all-star breaks. When you write imaginary letters to professional athletes thanking them when they perform well for you. When you found yourself extremely pissed off that ESPN didn't run a salary cap game for the baseball playoffs. When you read a post by someone in another sports thread that sounds a bit knowledgeable and you invite the poster to join a fantasy league. When you find that you really miss the "Scoring Summary" feature in basketball. When you start to care about "Uber Points" even though you don't know what they are. When you were waiting all year for a reason to rhyme "Arenas" with "Penis". When you waste your time by trying to make an intelligent post on an ESPN Message Board.

Either way, "all" or "ill", works.

You know you're too much into it when... I rooted for the St. Louis-NYJ to head into overtime and for St. Louis to win based only upon the following fantasy implications: 1) It gave Pennington some extra time to improve upon his pathetic statistics 2) the St. Louis win forced Alexander to play the entire game in Seattle, as the division was still on the line b/w Seattle & St. Louis. Despite having to start Pennington in place of Peyton Manning, I won my league (and $300 ) by a mere 5 points.

You're A Bit Too Into Fantasy Sports... - When you have 3,000 or more posts and the majority of the people on the GBB have no clue who you are - You know that Lance Berkman hits well against right-handed pitchers in a dome during night games in August - Mediocre home team games are purely fantasy-fodder - You can alternate between hating and loving Bobby Simmons - You know who Bobby Simmons is - You spend all day trying to answer the question "What are the odds..." - Wait, that's when you know you're a dork!

-- inane sports trivia begets even more inane sports trivia...for example...
Bobby Simmons! From DePaul...my second favorite college program! Another in a long list of prep stars from Chicago Simeon High School (including Nick Anderson and the late Ben Wilson).

In the absence of an NHL season, you conceive a Fantasy American Hockey League...to go along with your Fantasy Arena Football League.
And you're contemplating a Fantasy Beach Volleyball League...
