I don't have the DVD's, but I've seen the films so many times that personally I don't feel the commentary would ruin it at all, in fact the first few times it would probably add to the enjoyment - as MFM said, it would provide additional insight!!

Only thing is, after hearing the commentary once or twice, you probably don't need it anymore.
