This is not before the opening scene in the film, but later on after Sonny is killed and Vito summons Bonasera to meet him at the funeral home. The deleted scene shows Bonasera nervously getting dressed at home, worrying to his wife about what terrible thing The Godfather will want from him and how it will affect his life.
