As much as I, and obviously many others on this board like most of those scenes and would like them integrated. Most of the general public would go nuts watching 4+ hour movies and I believe that even many of us would have been bored the first time through if that had all been included.

First Time I saw Godfather, my eyes were guled tot he screen for 3 1/2 hours (TNN (TV)). Next night I saw GF2 4 hours (TNN(TV)) and fell asleep halfway through, but woke up for the bloody bathtub!
I know what you mena about 4 hour movies, but Apocalypse Now Redux will kerep you awake for 3 hours and 15 minutes the first time you see it!
