I did a search and found an old thread from 12 month ago by Turi, it didnt come to any conclusions and I dont want to be accused of being an archeologist by digging it up after such a length of time

After I wrote my comments about Carlo in the Trilogy sections, I went to starbucks for a skim Tazo Chi. I asked myself that same question, because I think he was lured in it by Bazini. We heard a women telling Connie that he could not make the date. I don't think Carlo will give a huzzy the home phone number so that Connie can whine that to her family.
This is just my guess, but I think Bazini was behind the phone call, which caused the arguement and fight. Sonny's involvement, and as Turnball stated, the BIG MAN was humilated by Sonny. Now, Barzini steps in...we know the story.
