Well, you probably would have! Yet I try to disguise it when I talk to myself, and I just continually make posts directed at one of the other ladies, so it's like I'm leaving a message.

Sounds good! Well, last night, I stayed up way too late, and for once my mom didn't seem to even care. Other nights, she'll probably be making me shut the computer off sooner, but I'm sure we'll get some more Manu chats in.

Wow! Nice pics. I have to say, my Yankees did an awesome job last night. Jeter just kept hitting and hitting, and ARod even got a home run (predictably when they're in the lead. He's a great player, but not a good clutch player). ARod, Posada and Matsui had back-to-back homers in the 8th and they ended up winning 20-11 after being down 10-2.

The announcers showed Tiger Woods and said that he was there to cheer on his good friend Derek Jeter. He must've brought him some serious good luck, because he was 5 for 5 last night, if I'm not mistaken.

Would you like to join the Manu fan club, SB?

I heard about your Yanks yesterday...man! That's a pretty awesome come-from-behind win!

By the way...

Woo, hoo!

What's sad is I just took Jose Guillen off my fantasy team, and I see he had two homers in the game.

Gina, Thank you so much!! That picture is the gift that will keep on giving!! He is just soooo hot, isn't he?

I must admit that the short-haired Manu is much more attractive to me than the longer-haired Manu. The long hair is just a bit too sweaty. I love seeing a man work up a good sweat as much as the next girl, but the long hair ends up looking a bit gross for me.

I wanted to make your Jeter BD gift a lot nicer (the wording, that is; the man is just fine... ), but I'm terrible with all of those graphic things. And if I could've given you Jeter himself, I would've...though I might've asked you to share.

So no sweat fetish for you, huh? Zia and I went into deep analysis of the hair, the sweat, and everything else we could examine on him.

(I just saw my shoutout in the other thread...thanks! )

Are you kidding? That photo was perfection!!

Sweat's a good thing. It's just that when the hair is too long, it doesn't just look sweaty, it looks dirty, or greasy. Actually, it's funny that you mention this. The local radio station just had a whole discussion on this, complete with listeners calling in. We had a recent heat wave, and they were talking about whether you like to be touched when it's hot out. Some folks were saying that the heat was a good thing, that they liked being with someone when they were all hot and sweaty. Others said that it was too gross-couldn't stand being touched when it was too hot.

I agree, on anyone else, sweaty long hair looks gross. But for some reason, Manu pulls it off. I don't know how/why. It's one of them mysteries in this world. :p

Btw, ever since we found out it's your birthday today, I'm craving cake.

That's true...I just pretend Manu used hair gel. Edit: Yes, it's just a Manu mystery, Zia!

It's hilarious some of the things they talk about on radio talk shows! I guess it'd depend on who was trying to touch me...

Yeah, I noticed that...

That's about as close as I'll get to him. Our names.

Edit: Argh. Got to get to bed. No more guy talk for me tonight! I'll be away some tomorrow, but I'll be around to chat here and cheer for our man.

I don't know, Beth. His brows are a little scary. Speaking of scary brows, I felt compelled to buy Bo Bice's single yesterday. He sounds great. And Inside Your Heaven definitely has a whole 'nother meaning when he sings it.

Bottom of the 8th, my Yankees are losing by two, but they have runners on 2nd and 3rd with 2 outs. Posada's up at bat and Sierra's on deck. Need a little Bronx magic.

Did you ever hear the saying, "You can take the girl out of the Bronx, but not the Bronx out of the girl"? Sorry, gotta love my Bombers. Who are now losing 9-4, bottom of the 9th. But Jeter's up at bat. Hey, the pitcher almost hit him!! Gosh, he's cute. He just hit a single.

Sorry, SB. I was just kidding about switching channels, by the way; I knew you'd never back out on your boys!

I love that pic of him; I almost used that one for your "gift," I believe.

Wasn't that an awesome game?!

I watched it with my cousin and my boyfriend, both of whom kept asking, "Why the hell are we watching a Spurs game? Let's go eat or do something." Losers. Of course my response was, "Shut up, my boy's playing." You can imagine how good that made my boyfriend feel. :p But eventually, they got into it; especially by the third quarter, when they kept tying the game.

Btw, your congrats to Manu on being so hot was hilarious!! Hey, why not congratulate him? He does it so well.

Ok ladies, I finally visited this thread. I gotta say I don't think I really belong. Not a Jeter, A-Rod, Manu fan. Sorry!!!

I tend to be a little geeky and particular about the guys I stalk - er, I mean - like. I dont go for just the pretty boys, I like the chemistry. Everyone here knows I adore Eric Karros and simply because he would play here in Albuquerque when he was in injury rehab and I had a few chance encounters with him.

So anyway, after the restraining order I still love him from afar. The ONLY man I would ever leave my husband for with no explanation. Mister Buffy knows this as well

Guess the best looking guy in baseball to me right now - and someone I have liked for years (my #2 guy) - is someone you never see because his face is always covered by a mask.

I have a larger print of this in my office, next to my pics and autographed memoribilia of Joe Montana, Steve Young and Karros:

Mike Matheny
(now with the SF Giants... )
My type to a "T"

I have a tendency to wear my heart on my sleeve -
I have a history of taking off my shirt.....

Oooh...he's a hottie, Buffy. Don't worry about not feeling like you don't belong because you have diffent taste in men. We're a regular smorkesborg here. I know I'm alone in my love for Vinny. It makes it easier when we don't fight over the same men.

The more men....the merrier!!!

Oh, LDV, he is hot! I think that's funny that you have your hubby's permission... In General Discussion, I once posted "The List", and it's a list of celebrities that you have your significant other's permission to have sex with, because the truth is, you're never going to even meet any of them, forget about a sexual encounter.

ARod and Jeter are so high on my list that it's not even funny.

Remember that Friends episode of the List?

Isabella Rosselini? Naw, she's too international. Oh and THAT'S the reason you won't ever get with her!!

btw ladies - keep your mitts off my #2 man. He has always been my best kept secret! I go to Frisco more often than I would ever think of going to St. Louis so a stalking/sighting might not be just a pipe dream.

Sidenote: A friend of mine just gave me a Karros Cubs baseball card that has a piece of his bat in it. I have it on my bulletin board at work as well. Everyone knows I am Karros-crazy. But he once hugged me - in Vegas - it's the chemisty I'm tellin' you.
