Well, the Yankees had a perfect opportunity to gain a game on Boston yesterday, but they lost 6-5. We'll have to see how they do in the upcoming series against the Orioles.

Wow - no wonder my ears were ringing.

I always found that picture that Plaw posted up a little bit weird - the lighting I think. I think Plaw likes posting it because my elbow is (inadvertantly) nudged up against... Never mind.

Maybe it explains why my smile is so goofy looking in that picture!

Part,
I think that you can be a funny guy. However, you have been out of control lately. ESPECIALLY when you post things about having naked pictures of my daughter or things to Gina, who is my daughter's age, about seeing your private parts. You are treading on some very thin ice, and I asked you politely to stop. So, don't tell me to get off my high horse. Instead, why don't you start acting like a man?

Boy you go away for a weekend and I come back to a fight so to lighten the mood around here Just to let you know that the game my hubby and son went to on Friday the score was Indians 3 KC 1 and the Browns won on Sunday 26-24 against Greenbay. So all is well in my little corner of the world.

Hey SB,

Is your daughter doing better since her breakup? I was thinking about her the other day.

Thanks, Mig. But you know teenagers, they go all out for the drama as if it's the end of the world, but then they recover. Now, if the Yankees can only continue playing like they have been!!

Well, the Yankees are doing very well. If only they had played like this back in June! They've been really playing with their hearts.

And, Gina, my friend, we'll be watching over the Astros for you.

Thanks, SB. Glad to know they're in good hands.

I'll have so much baseball catching up to do...and right in the wild card race! We won a good game tonight, and I currently have two tie games to follow, concerning the WC - Florida and Philadelphia.

Your Yanks have really made a nice show, and it looks like they're making a great run for the playoffs!

Mig, It is amazing how the Indians are catching up to the White Sox. It has been astounding.

And if they keep winning, and Boston loses a few more...

Just when you thought that pig Palmeiro couldn't sink any lower. He supposedly is blaiming a teammate for giving him steroids. Anyone in their right mind knows there's not too many bulky Orioles who could be suspected of using steroids.

Palmeiro reportedly blamed teammate
Orioles first baseman told panels he was given substance

An ongoing investigation into whether Rafael Palmeiro perjured himself in an early March appearance in front of the House Government Reform Committee has focused on whether a teammate provided the substance that led to his positive steroid test and subsequent suspension, according to a report in the Baltimore Sun.
The newspaper, citing "people familiar with the investigation," reported the claim came from Palmeiro himself during his hearing earlier this season before MLB's arbitration panel, which declined to overturn the suspension the player served Aug. 1-10.

Palmeiro identified the teammate by name, the Sun reported, citing a secondary source which confirmed the development.

In its efforts to determine whether Palmeiro's version has merit, the committee has questioned members of the Orioles, including Palmeiro and head athletic trainer Richie Bancells.

As he began serving his 10-day suspension on Aug. 1, Palmeiro told reporters, "It was an accident. It was not an intentional act on my part."

However, the Sun's sources portrayed Palmeiro's explanations to both the arbitration board and subsequently to the committee as "confusing."

Is he kidding? That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard! Like I said when he first claimed that he may have taken steroids "accidentally", it reminded me of one of the first West Wing episodes. Rob Lowe's character meets a girl in a bar and spends the night with her. He later finds out that she's a hooker. He confesses to his boss that he "accidentally slept with a call girl." His boss looks at him incredulously and says, "Accidentally? Did you trip or something?"

I'm still waiting for when he's gonna tell "his side of the story". I think O.J. will confess to the murders before that happens.

He just needs to be a man, fess up to it, and get in with his life. Even if someone else offers you something, knowing what the league testing policies are and everything it's up to you to make sure what you're taking is not steroids.

That's why I love the frumpy, chunky Vinny. The only thing he can be accused of putting into his body is too many bic macs.

What an idiot. He's already made the mistake...why can't he just fess up to it instead of looking for ways out of trouble? All that does is lower my opinion of him even more.

Well, Willy isn't "beefy," but I'm with you, Bethie...who needs a pumped-up, 'roid ridden man when you can have an honest, normal one?

It's reported on the news here that Palmeiro stated that Miguel Tejada gave him a B12 shot, and that may have caused the positive steroid result. Wow, now B12 has steroids? Tejada said he gave Palmeiro that shot a long time ago, and that he never gives anyone steriods. They's saying that's probably why the team had Raffy go away for "rehab", because he's blaming another teammate. Stay gone, and don't come back I say.

Here is the story on ESPN. It seems his fellow players and manager are getting tired of his antics as well. I highly doubt he'll be back.

Read about it in my paper. Boy, was Tejada pissed. He says that he's been tested 3 times, and has always been clean, so how did he manage that while taking steroids disguised as B12? Silly man.

Meanwhile, the Yankees barely held onto their lead last night, but they managed to win. They are now one whole game ahead of Boston for first place.

The front office for The Orioles just announced they have informed Palmeiro he will not return for the remainder of the season. He is to clean out his locker this weekend. Palmeiro was sad when he heard the news. Boo hoo. Let's all shed a tear for Palmeiro. NOT!

The sad thing is for sure he won't be back next season, meaning he will fade away quietly and never get the chance to lie to our faces when he tells us "his side of the story". I just hope this keeps him out of the HOF.

That's ok, I'm sure he'll get a big-ass book contract. And he can cry all the way to the bank and back. As you said, boo hoo.

The Yankees are playing Toronto right now and are winning 4-0, thanks in part to my boy Jeter.

Gina, I'm sorry that your boys lost against the Cubs today, but perhaps they were a bit distracted with what's going on at home.

SB, I've had your Yanks on, and they still seem to be doing well, which is good!

Yeah, we got behind early in today's game, and we just couldn't get enough of a rally going to come back. I saw Philly's score earlier, and they were ahead, but Cincinnati took the lead. It'd really help if they could lose, too...so I'm scoreboard watching.

Jeter? Who's he? Thanks for sharing, Mig. Derek Jeter has a very close relationship with his parents, which I think is sweet. They're often in the stands, giving him support.

Meanwhile, Toronto kicked their butts today. AND Boston won, which means the Yankees and Red Sox are tied for first place. The next week should be exciting.

Gina, I'm glad to see that you're boys won today.
