Zia, I have to go with Bert. Can't you just picture Derek Jeter with a rubber ducky??

Oh, Beth, my crabby friend!! How you twist my words!! I was thinking of innocent Derek Jeter in a bubble bath, playing with his rubber ducky....oh, maybe you didn't twist my words.

Well, DMC, I guess being a kept man isn't too bad, is it??

Gina, Damn Pujols!! A three run homer in the 9th!! Forcing Game 6!! Well, it makes for exciting baseball. I'm sure your boys will prevail.

Thanks, SB. Again, so good to hear such positive thoughts from another fan. After all the tears and depression of last night, my mom helped cheer me up, and throughout the school day today, I eventually gained my optimism back completely. We've still got a good chance, and I believe these boys have what it takes. Maybe next time they'll walk Pujols.

Keep the faith sweetie. We've all adopted your boys as our own now. To hear all the stories of how you all were one strike away, and the clubhouse was all set for the champagne celebration, to see it all go away in a snap, it's all very sad. They have to get through Oswalt tomorrow night. That's not gonna be easy. If all our cheers and support are enough to get them through you're gonna see you boys in The World Series.

Unfortunately though, I have to admit I have found something better than looking at Trish Pictures all day

The only thing better than looking at Trish Pictures all day is................ LOOKING AT TRISH PICTURES ON A 19 INCH FLAT PANEL MONITOR *insert drooling smiley here*

DMC, I agree, the flat panel rules!! We got one for our computer when our old monitor blew up. Definitely worth the money, isn't it? Oh wait, that's right, it's FLAME'S money. :p

Gina, you just hang in there. Now that the Yankees are out of it, there's nothing I'd like to see more than an Astro's-White Sox Series.

Gigi, great picture in the JG thread! When I saw the link, I figured you'd pull something funny, but those band camp conversations didn't cross my mind... You're too funny. I bet he's swooning over it! :p

Anyway, I won't say anything about the game yet because I don't want to jinx it.

Well Gina, I have not done this for anyone else yet. BUT just for you, I, DMC, will post a Trish Picture as sort of a sacrifice in hopes of the Astros winning. This is not just any old picture let me add, this is one of my TOP 5* fully clothed picuters of her:

Thanks, Zia. And I'm sure he is swooning over it. I knew I was going to post that picture, but I figured making it out to be me would be a little more tricky.

Wow, DM! Um, I'm not really sure I see how your posting a Trish picture has much to do with baseball or the Astros, but I appreciate the huge sacrifice you must've made! :p

I'm not saying anything about the game, either. I'm too nervous.

Oh, I will say, however, that my Band director really annoyed me today. The entire practice, she kept bringing up that "we needed to focus, and not be like the Astros and Brad Lidge, who didn't keep his focus." The nerve! Yes, he made a mistake, but does she honestly believe he wasn't focused? All my friends were asking me if I was getting mad at her...

Yeah I know, she likes the Blue Jays :p

And it WAS a sacrifice, I took time away from my busy Trish Viewing Schedule to copy and paste a URL

We did it. We finally did it.

I was nervous until the very last out, but the feeling right now is just wonderful. I can hardly believe this is happening, and I am so proud of these guys. Bagwell and Biggio, 15-year and 18-year veterans, are going to their very first World Series. Andy and Roger, my two favorite NY'ers were a huge part of why we made it. Roy, an amazing pitcher the entire season (and last), pushed us in the final stretch to win it. All of these guys who experienced the lowest of lows, who were 15-30 in their first 45 games, who were counted out and even "buried" by the local newspaper - these guys did it, and I love them.

I talked to my grandpa, a veteran as an Astros fan, and realizing his and my mom's reactions to this was just really cool, because it shows how many people and how many generations baseball and this team has affected - it shows just how huge this is.

To the Cardinals and their fans (especially Part, who was always so nice), y'all played an amazing series and especially an amazing season. St. Louis just has a team that is full of talent, and though I can't deny the rivalry, I do respect them.

On to Chicago!

(DM, thank you for willing the Astros toward a win with Trish! )

Housework is woman's work!

But one evening, Jenny arrived home from work to find the children bathed, one load of clothes in the washer and another in the dryer, dinner on the stove, and the table set. She was astonished -- something's up.
It turns out that Ralph had read an article that said wives who worked full-time and had to do their own housework were too tired to have sex.
The night went well and the next day, she told her office friends all about it.
"We had a great dinner. Ralph even cleaned up.
He helped the kids do their homework, folded all the laundry and put everything away. I really enjoyed the evening."
"But what about afterward?" asked her friends.
"Oh, that was perfect too. Ralph was too tired..."

God is good... :p
