Toodoped: Cheers and stay tuned for more free information.
Toodoped: Cant believe that some posters need to open three different threads so they can advertise their projects, and also talk to themselves with the help of different accounts. What is the world coming to?!
Toodoped: whoomp there it is! whoomp there it is! lol
Toodoped: a bird told me that the zipper pants site is slowly going down lol lol lol
Toodoped: The best fun for me is being the puppeteer of a complete idiot lol lol

Toodoped: Anyone heard from @BigTuna? He is absent for quite some time...I hope is ok
Toodoped: Any idiot can face a crisis - it's day to day living that wears you out.
Toodoped: Thanks buddy! We should continue fighting against these lying paying sites and to protect everyone on this forum, especially the younger generation or posters.
Toodoped: these days lots of people that I know lost their families and everything they had because its legit and even youngsters can chip in
Toodoped: Same as the mob paying sites...ppl pay for "Disneyland" and wiki mob stuff, something which they can find it on their own with a simple google search
VanillaLimeCoke: Lousy school violence these days. Not even a 6th of the way through September and we've already had a psychotic violent school shooting.
Toodoped: Word. Few days ago, over here, they caught one teenager with a gun and more than 60 bullets, while going to school. I wonder what was his plan ?!

VanillaLimeCoke: I can’t take it anymore. Everything has gotta change. Or at least a lot.
Toodoped: Screw the world bro...the main thing today is to take care of you and yours.
VanillaLimeCoke: I’m hoping and praying that 2025 will be so much better. …. for real …. Too
Giacomo_Vacari: Damn, he is posting the same things over and over, nothing new. Watch out the flu is bad this year. January 20th Trump gets sworn in, and hopefully turn things around.
VanillaLimeCoke: Yeah, but they’re already planning things so he can’t turn them around
VanillaLimeCoke: Biden’s pardened over 8000 people, most of which were issued in the last 2-3 months

I've got an assignment for my Spanish class to write a biographical-type article about the history of a person from a Spanish-speaking country. My immediate thought: Willy. He's from the Dominican Republic, so he'd be a great pick, and I'd sure love doing research on him. It's not a very complex assignment, but my only thought was that I might not be able to get as much information on him as I could on someone else, what with him being in the spotlight for only a short time. I think it'll still work out, though. Considering this and the English paper I wrote a while back about baseball, I've really had a good time working baseball into my school projects this year! CS, you might have seen this before - if not...uh, please forgive me.

Gina - It might be pretty tough finding a good bio on Willy, if wikipedia only has this ... but good luck!

No, I've never read that book, SB, but thanks for the recommendation! If I ever have the chance to get that, I'll certainly try to check it out. Gosh, I don't read near as much as I should, but when I do, I remember how much I love it. I'm just finishing up Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass for English, and I read a ton of it in my computer class yesterday, and it was so nice to get lost in a book. I think the main problem is that there's rarely enough time to really get "lost" in one. ), and just one book ("It" by Stephen King! I've seen the movie, and I figure the book will be even more entertaining.), but it got me in the reading mood just being there. I always think about how one could just live in a bookstore and never get bored.

Congrats to your man, A-Rod, on the MVP, SB! Congrats to Pujols, as well! He's supposed to be my enemy, but the man is incredible, and I'd never deny that. Well, I've read a bit in my It book, and I'm really enjoying it so far. If I had the same clown phobia, I'd probably never be able to read it... It's a huge book, and I don't think anyone at school believes I'll finish it, but I'm just going to work on it little by little and hopefully get through it. Check out the cover of the book - personally, I think the clown shown on the cover looks much more creepy/scary than the actual Pennywise in the movie...wouldn't you say?

Oh, you'll have to be patient with me, SB...I'm on page 57, I think, and there's a little over 1,000 pages. I have a week off for Thanksgiving, next week, and three weeks later, I have my long Christmas break, so I do plan to get some good reading done on this book. Without all of the distractions of school, I should make progress. I remember the movie ending (or I think I do...), and I seem to remember it being very odd. The book is just very different in comparison, or really strange in itself? By the way, I just finished up the part about Stan, the Jewish one...so you'll know without my giving anything away to anyone else, I'll just say: Bath. That was so much more creepy to read than watch.

CS, I think I might've seen the movie version of The Natural, but I haven't read the book. Oh! By the way, I thought of you and your "cesium" nickname during Chemistry today. I sit with three close friends in a group in that class, and we're always joking around...well, one guy loves talking about Pujols, and he's always teasing me and our two girl friends in the group about how we like him...which always annoys us, since we're Astros fans. He wrote "aluminum phosphate" on my friend's paper... Aluminum Phosphate for Albert Pujols... Then we decided that Pujols' middle name would be Simon, because it's aluminum, silicon, and phosphate in that order on the chart. We were using all these chemistry equations to make jokes with Pujols, the entire class time - we're such nerds. (And I just looked up his middle name, out of sheer curiosity, and his full name is: Jose Alberto Pujols. That ruined it. :p )

In fact, I just looked up the exact quote from the book, and he (the clown) says to a boy, "I, Georgie, am Mr. Bob Gray, also known as Pennywise the Dancing Clown." Not sure where Bob Gray comes from, but that's what he says.

Well, the book and the movie ended in a similar fashion, but one major difference was left out of the movie. And I can completely understand why. Yes, that whole scene with Stan and his wife (Whoever heard of a Jewish mermaid?) was very good, and very sad, too. I love when King does that sort of background writing, although many could argue that we didn't need to know that much about Mrs. Uris, since we never see or hear from her again, but I love that kind of stuff. BTW, Beth, what is this woman doing with your future son-in-law???
