Beth, Tell your daughter Happy Birthday for me. If you are still coming to the convention in August bring her with you. I think her and my Becky will get along fine.

Oh, no!!! My Willy is playing against my Astros - we're playing the Dominican Republic, and he was just sent in to pinch-run for them. This is awkward...who do I go for?

What channel is that on Gina. I'm watching The Cubbies vs the Giants now on WGN station. Just seeing the sun shining on those jerseys warms the cockels of my heart.

The Astros are just on the radio - I wish I could see them, but man, I was just thinking about how great it is to hear baseball on the radio... Can you feel it, Bethie?! I feel baseball.

Thanks for telling me about the WGN game. Puerto Rico and the Mets are on ESPN, but I've had it on mute.

I can feel it. Can you feel it? I can smell the peanuts and beer. Now, if only I liked The Orioles I could actual enjoy going to a baseball game in person.

Well, I'll just have to send my private jet for you to come down to Houston and catch my Willy in action.

That was too much.

You know what they say, the name on the front of the jersey is more important than the name on the back.

Hey, SB. Below is a link to one of my local newscasts about The West Wing funeral scene being shot here that I told you about. Hopefully it's not one of those links that changes each day and it's something different when you open it.

Beth,
How cool was that?? I have to assume that was Leo's funeral. Since this ends in May, I would think that otherwise the episodes would be almost done filming, especially for external scenes. I think they do those as soon as they can for location shots, and then do the interiors. Btw, FINALLY, a new episode this Sunday!!

Yeah, they did say at one point it was Leo's funeral, and that his running mate Jimmy Smits was in town. Funny though, they referred to Leo as Chief of Staff when he hasn't been that for awhile.

Still, that hottie Jimmy Smits was in my town and he escaped me.

Figures my boys win a day game that I wasn't able to catch but lose the weekend game I was able to listen to.

Man, they're saying it's in the 80's here in Houston - I miss summer and the feeling of baseball, but I think I'm going to be wishing away the heat soon.

Beth - I know what you mean about Jimmy Smits. Ooh La La!!

Gina - I would so welcome some heat. It's been in the teens here. I think that summer's never going to arrive.

I'll mail you some nice, warm, Houston heat, SB!

By the way, I was looking at the Yankees page to see if I could find you a nice Jeter photo, when I came across this advertisement:

I got a kick out of it when I noticed the "Buy" button...as if we could somehow buy Derek?!

It's times like these that I wish I knew how to use photoshop - I would make you a Jeter picture with that bow you described.

Have y'all caught any WBC games? I think the ones this week are either during school or Band sectionals for me, so I'll probably miss most of them. I've been completely overwhelmed with college prep stuff (advance courses this summer, my senior schedule, scholarships, college tours, etc.), and I feel like I'm in some kind of dream world. School better let up come April - baseball's more important than my future...isn't it? Anyway, Spring Break's next week, and I can't wait to have a bit of time to catch a breath.

Spring break? I'm so jealous. I wish I had a break coming up. My oldest daughter is in the high school play and she's got rehearsals about every other evening, and I feel like I could drive back and forth to the high school in my sleep right now. They only had a 4 day weekend at President's Day and don't have a vacation until Easter.

All of those classes, etc. will pay off in the long run. What colleges are you considering? Thinking about going out of state, or staying closer to home?

I haven't caught any of the WBC games. I have been reading up on them in the paper, but haven't caught a single one. I just wish it was regular baseball season so that I could get into it.

Yeah, I was thinking that it must be different than last year, because I know St. Patrick's Day was a school day then - we're going to miss it this time. Well, I'll be jealous of your son when mine's over.

SB,

I just wanted to let you know that The Princess Bride is on TV tonight! Hopefully you'll see this in time. I just saw it was on at 7:00 (central time), and I was so mad that I missed it, but it's scheduled to repeat at 11:00 (again, central). The channel is WE, which I think stands for Women's Entertainment. (No wonder, considering Cary Elwes... )

Edit:

Unfortunately, I just read he'll be out for about five weeks due to his back injury. I haven't caught many recent games, anyway.

SB - I'm sure you watched West Wind last night. What were we saying?

Josh and Donna sitting in a tree. K-I-S-S-I-N-G. They'll hook up by the end of the season for sure.

OMG!! Josh and Donna!! FINALLY!! Although I wanted to hist the woman who grabbed Donna's key!! And I loved last night's episode! There were so many good moments, that it was almost like the West Wing that I have loved so much for so long. Donna and CJ sharing a girlfriend moment, POTUS and Leo conferring about a world crisis, funny Will, very funny Debbie (Don't get too comfortable)... just a whole bunch of really good scenes.

Gina, I missed Princess Bride, but thanks for letting me know. Gosh, I love that movie.

Oh man, I felt like punching Josh when he told Donna it was a mistake. WTF!!! For a smart guy he sure acted dumb. When they started going at it in his hotel room I was yelling SB!!!!!!!!!! Hahaha. It was touching when Josh whispered Donna when that girl took the key. (Do these aids even have names)? Who cares. I mean, the girl gave you her hotel room key . Come on! How much more clear is that. I hope Donna doesn't think Josh didn't want it and gave it to that girl.

I was glad to see Toby and Sam coming back in the future. Did they ever say what happened to Charlie? He was there one minute, and gone the next.

Poor Charlie really got the short end of the past few seasons. In the beginning, he was so terrific as the outsider who is smarter than all the smart people. And has anyone seen Zoey lately??? I'm hoping that the next two months bring them all back. Wouldn't it be a hoot if Mandy returned??

Mandy I could do without. I don't think the actress who played her would be interested. She only wanted to do the one season, and she's moved on. I was just checking to see if they explaind Charlie's absence and I missed it. As far as Zoey they never really did have The Bartlett family involved much. Where the hell is Abby for that matter? Stock Channing's sitcom probably got cancelled so she can come back from New Hampshire soon.

These were all great scenes. I love telling people I know who don't watch The West Wing how it's a mixture of drama and comedy. Heck, sometimes I think the show should be in the comedy category. Also, when Vinnick says, "Why is Leo in the oval office while we're out here admiring the china" was great. Along the lines of Debbie (Don't get too comfortable, that's all you're gonna see if the White House).

It was funny also how Will and C.J. picked right up on Donna talking about Josh, even though she tried to act coy. Don't they both know everyone can feel the sexual tension between those two? Well, at least the viewers anyway.

Her sitcom was the worst! I tried watching it a few times because I like her, but it was awful.

Well, they're bringing Amy back (yuk), so why not Mandy? She's another ex of Josh's.
