So I'm not the only one who LOVES The Princess Bride huh?
Becky got me hooked on that movie. I noticed it's been on tv alot lately. I guess I'm watching to much tv I need to get back to making my greeting cards for Easter.

Mig, it has been on a lot - I'd waited several months, checking whenever I could to see if it would be on, and now I'm seeing it nearly every week! No complaints, though.

Oh, and movies on television don't count as watching TV. At least that's what I tell myself.

If you went out to a movie, you wouldn't count it as watching TV, would you? It can't possibly count just because you're watching it at home!! :p

Oh, Beth, don't tell me you were rooting for Mexico. Even if you were, just don't tell me. :p I was watching the game with some school friends, and every time I saw Vinny, I had such an urge to tell them about how "Beth of the GBB loves this guy!" - I figured it wouldn't get much of a response, though...they just don't understand.

I think this was the first game that I caught in full, and it was such a frustrating one. I missed the one against Japan that was apparently won on a bad call, but after hearing about it, I guess it is good that Japan gets to advance.

It was so weird to cheer on guys like Chipper Jones, guys whom I normally despise...America is quite a great bond, if it inspires me to do that.

I almost cried as I watched Roger walk off the field. Deep down, I still have hope that he'll continue to play, but there's always the possibility that he doesn't. That could've very well been the end.

Of course I was rooting for Mexico. American guys do nothing for me.

I think Vinny got more close up shots yesterday then he has when I've watched him on one of his own games.

He did get a lot of coverage - I was so happy for you.

Whoa, I'm in baseball mode, now. I've got the Cuba/Dominican WBC game on TV on mute, and I've got the Astros on radio. Can't get much better than that.

Okay, if I'm being picky, it could. My boys could be on TV.

Oooooh, Willy struck out. That's ok, he took a lot of foul balls to increase his air time.

I did see after he attempted the bunt and they showed him smiling. At least I think he was smiling. He could have been squinting at the sun.

But he was sure was cute doing it.

Aw, jeez.

My eye "infection"/problem is making a comeback (what I talked about in the Random Post thread), then I got a tummyache, so I had a heating pad on while I was watching the game - couldn't Willy have gotten a hit to make me feel better?

You know, he fouls off a lot of pitches (scaring me each time, because he reaches all the way across the plate!), and I was just thinking that it's good because he's working the pitcher's pitch count and tiring him out. I never thought of it your way, though...he's also increasing his air time, thus making for a pleasant viewing experience.

Yes, you have to get your priorities in order. Getting more air time out weighs tiring himself out.

Let's hope next time, he keeps fouling...and fouling...and fouling.

They showed Poo-Hole earlier with his cap off - did he just recently shave his head, or has it always been like that? I don't remember that much hair missing.

This game could go on forever, the way they're avoiding runs.

I got confused when Cuba brought in the pinch runner Taveres, I thought, doesn't Willy play for the Dominicans? Now the new pitcher is Tavarez.

There are also so many Castillas and Castillos in baseball, it makes you think maybe we should like someone named Smith.

Boy, I thought the DR were supposed to be a sure bet to wind, and Cuba was just happy to be invited to the dance. Guess you never know.

Oh, I despise the pitcher - Julian Tavarez, a reliever for the Cards...I guess he's still with them? I've seen enough of him to know he's got a hot temper. He once pitched against us, was taken out after giving up some runs, then went to the dugout and punched the bullpen phone.

I feel bad for Colon. I think he was doing pretty well - mainly just sloppy DR defense - as soon as he left, they just fell apart.

I heard the announcers commenting on Tavarez's temper. He sounds like an asshole. If I find out a player is like that, or a wife beater or otherwise all around ass hole I lose interest. I'll find another cutie to idolize.

Whew....glad that lousy inning is over. I felt like I was watching an Orioles game.

Absolutely. No matter how pathetic I sound when gushing over the cuties of baseball, I do have some pride.

Really though, I could never like that guy. He's such a jerk, and he's screwed up quite a few games in similar fashion.

Ooh. Jose Reyes. One of my favorite fantasy picks.

Edit: Well, that was fast.

Wow! What a shocker. Everyone picked DR to go all the way.

I guess I probably won't watch any more of the WBC. I'm not really interested in the last three teams standing.

I know. I guess with such a large cast everyone can't be on every episode. I like how Toby was "Bob"..haha. That was funny. I'm wondering if Toby will serve any time. That could be the last episode...Toby going off in iron. Maybe Charlie will come back and sweep Zoe off her feet. Oh Charlie...where art thou.

I saw an Exedrine Migrain commercial yesterday. The actress was none other then our Zoe. I guess we know where she's been hiding out.

I've seen Zoey's commercial. She and Charlie had a great rapport, and I miss seeing the two of them together. But I admit to missing Toby most of all. He always reminded me of Eeyore.

Oh, that stuff is good. Even for regular headaches... you take two and the headache is gone in like 5 minutes. Not to mention you get all energized too, since it's got caffeine in it.

There ya go, you just saw another commercial for it. It's true though.

I don't know if this is true or not but, I heard you can get ulcers from taking Ibuprofen. I guess I'll be getting an ulcer then. It is great for back pain.
