I re-discovered this quote, today: "If a woman has to choose between catching a fly ball and saving an infant's life, she will choose to save the infant's life without even considering if there are men on base" -Dave Barry ( ![](/threads/images/graemlins/classic/lol.gif) ) To get us ready for the season, here are a few more I like... "It's no coincidence that female interest in the sport of baseball has increased greatly since the ballplayers swapped those wonderful old-time baggy flannel uniforms for leotards." -Mike Royko ( ![](http://www.gangsterbb.net/emoticons/whistling.gif) ) "Baseball, to me, is still the national pastime because it is a summer game. I feel that almost all Americans are summer people, that summer is what they think of when they think of their childhood. I think it stirs up an incredible emotion within people." -Steve Busby, in Washington Post, 8 July 1974 "Baseball is not necessarily an obsessive-compulsive disorder, like washing your hands 100 times a day, but it's beginning to seem that way. We're reaching the point where you can be a truly dedicated, state-of-the-art fan or you can have a life. Take your pick." -Thomas Boswell, Washington Post, 13 April 1990 "With those who don't give a damn about baseball, I can only sympathize. I do not resent them. I am even willing to concede that many of them are physically clean, good to their mothers and in favor of world peace. But while the game is on, I can't think of anything to say to them." -Art Hill

Dude, I can see you as some kind of Jekyll and Hyde Zia at the game... - "Ooh, look at that hottie, Manu!" - "Waitaminute! He just pushed Sasha. Nobody pushes Sasha." - "When he pushed him, his beautiful hair bounced a bit, while those few sexy strands remained pasted to his sweaty face." - "He's not a freakin' Laker, Zia! Snap out of it!" ![](/threads/images/graemlins/classic/lol.gif)

OMG you're so right!!!! Were you there, or something? I was with 2 cousins and my bf, and Manu made this really amazing shot. As much as I hated to admit it, I turned to them with this overly dramatic sad, disappointed look on my face and said, "that was a damn good shot." Like a second later, he fouled Sasha, and I sat up straight and was like, "Ah HELL no!!" Psycho? Nahhh. Maybe. Btw, Manu's hair is short now, again. So yeah, between that, and fouling my Sasha, he didn't stand a chance. (Chance at what? I don't know.) ![](/threads/images/graemlins/classic/lol.gif)

I hate it when they get a haircut, except Johnny Damon, who had to cut his hair and shave to be a Yankee. Watched a little bit of the Yankees game yesterday. I can't believe that the opening day game is at 10 at night here because they're playing Oakland. ![](/threads/images/graemlins/classic/mad.gif) There's no way an old lady like me is going to catch the game, at least past the first inning or two.

I am sooooo let down by the love scenes. I think Danny and C.J. ooze more passion then they did. But when Josh asked Donna if she wanted a drink and she said no and walked out, I was ready to punch the tv if Josh didn't follow her. ![](/threads/images/graemlins/classic/lol.gif) The scenes afterward were not up to par. Maybe there's still a chace for them to "christian" The White House later. I can't wait for Josh and Bartlett's reactions next week. It seemed so sad these last 2 episiodes knowing John Spencer already died, and the actor's having just go on. I wish someone else besides Annabeth would have found him. I still find her annoying.

I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored!
