Ah, Zia, I'm so sorry I haven't been here for you like you were for me during my playoff days, but just know, I'm rooting for you and your guys! School has kept me way too busy (you know it's gone too far when you can't focus on sports! ), so I haven't been posting much, but I have been reading. I just got a chance to read your playoff post, and wow, I can feel your energy and spirit from here! That video was awesome, and I can only imagine how pumped you must be! I'll be on a school trip for a while, so I'd like to wish the best of luck to your boys! Keep up that wonderful excitement for the game, which I know you will.

What a crap game. My godfather and my uncle came over to watch with me, and they both blamed the Lakers' loss on me... "That's what you get for ditching class, thanks a lot." Oh well, at least this means there's one more home game I can go to, Thursday. I hope Raja Bell gets suspended for what he did to Kobe... he put his arm around Kobe's neck from behind and brought him down. He got ejected from the game, but there better be some more consequences! Or else he better not leave his hotel room when they come to L.A. on Thursday... he'll get shot or beaten to a pulp. Or both. Later in the interviews, he said "It was the heat of the moment, I overreacted a little bit." Yeah, just a little. Did anyone see that fight on the field at the Angels game?! Is it just me, or is it like the best thing ever to see a fight on a baseball field? I just saw it on ESPN a few minutes ago, and I'm still kinda laughing from it. It actually cheered me up out of my bad mood from the Laker game.

My Lakers have ended their playoff run, but at least they dragged it to Game 7. I don't know where the guys from Games 2, 3, and 4 went during the last 3 games, it's like a whole different team was playing towards the end. My theory is that the sexual assault accusations against Kwame Brown threw the whole team off... I'm thinking after everything they went through standing by Kobe through the rape charges, they probably were stressed out, hoping this won't be the same thing, Part II. Because it's right when that became public that they kind of fell apart. Anyway, I'm not as disappointed as I thought I would be. Being a fan is not about what is accomplished during one season, it's about a process, you know? And seeing how much they've improved as a team from last year to this year; actually even from this past November until now... it's really remarkable. For someone who's been there all season long, I look back and I'm happy just seeing that. It was a pretty historic season, with Kobe breaking records like no tomorrow. Being a Laker fan my whole life, I know this roller coaster is what they do best... ups and downs, you know? From the Kareem and Magic days, down to the "bleh" days of the mid-nineties, then back up to the peak of the Shaq and Kobe days, then back down... I think we're at the start of another "up" right now. We have one of the youngest (if not THE youngest) teams in the NBA; which leaves so much room for improvement. Sasha, Smush, etc... just seeing how they played back in November and then seeing how they did during the playoffs-- they've come such a long way. With some good offseason moves now, next season can be really great. Like if we could get rid Brian Cook and Devean George and get just one good veteran player, I think we'd be perfect. Anyway, thanks for bearing with me and my Laker posts throughout this season, girls! Now it's time to put those Dodgers season tickets to good use.

West Wing was good last night, but 2 weeks in a row without Josh or Donna? That's like bringing you to a climax only to have someone say..."hold that thought, I'll get back to you". I have officially become a Phantom of the opera junkie. I watched the movie 3 times over the weekend. On the official POTO webite there's a question and answer segment where they talk to Gerard Butler. His answers has a link where you hear him personally. Now, in the movie he mainly sings, and his accent is not visible, because of him being in character. My GOSH!!! This guys thick Scotish accent is freaking awesome. He sounds sooooooooo sexy. I definately gotta get his other movies now. I may never leave my house.

Zia, Sorry about your Lakers, but like you said, it was awesome that they made the playoffs at all. Now you can give your full attention to baseball.
Beth, I wasn't all that thrilled with WW last night. It wasn't bad, but it seemed like they were in a rush to resolve some things, and took their sweet time with others. A little too much CJ for my liking, although I was glad to see her and Toby together. Did you get the feeling that she was paying a booty call on Toby and he asked her to leave before they acted on it? I always thought that there was a little something unresolved between them. And you're right, are Josh and Donna lost in the Bermuda Triangle? I was so mad not to see them again!! And who the heck is going to be VP? Wouldn't he need to get that moving quickly, rather than worry about all these other stupid jobs that Santos is filling?

I think that there was definitely something between CJ and Toby, either in their past (remember, he was the one dispatched to hire her to work for Bartlett) or just something that they felt and never acted on due to working conditions. And when they went to hug, I thought for sure they were going to kiss, but he averted her lips. That was definitely a booty call in the making, and he put a stop to it, because he knew that she was just feeling vulnerable and afraid of the future. Rewatch it tonight on Bravo, and check it out.
Also, since this is the Ladies Thread, check out Toby's butt in that scene. NICE!!

Wow. I thought I went into the Ladies thread and I walk into the Gerard Butler shrine thread. :p I've seen two of the dude's movies. Dracula 2000 - GREAT twist ending wasted on a horrifically bad movie. I can't say it enough - why did they waste this twist on this movie? Phantom of the Opera - The movie version has grown on me. Butler, in my opinion, isn't that great of a singer (a poor man's Antonio Banderas ) but the producers were going for raw emotion which he supplied in spades. He contrasted very well with the Raoul actor, who I thought had the best voice in the cast. Emmy Rossum does an OK job for Christine. All in all, it's still my favorite musical and I enjoy the music so I'll have the TV on while I'm busy doing other stuff. What's your favorite song, Crabby?

There's supposed to be good acting and singing in Phantom? Now you tell me. I'm too busy oggling and crying when that ho Christine breaks The Phantom's heart. I've watched it over and over and still expect her to choose the Phantom. Rauoul is to womanly for me. Leave the two be, you trouble maker..hahaha. My favorite song by far is Think of me. I just love the words. But a close second is Point of no return. Sizzling!!!!! I have the CD and I listen to it every night.

Hey ladies - back from the trip, finally! I feel so out of touch from this place. Big-time Internet withdrawal. Zia, I'm sorry about your boys! I saw news on the final four at the hotel, and when I realized your guys weren't a part of it, I thought of you - I almost said something out loud, but nobody would've understood. Anyway, you handled it like a true sport, and you've got such great optimism. More fans should be like you. My boys were a train wreck while I was gone, and the only positive thing I can make of it is that maybe it's because I wasn't there for them...and now that I'm back, they'll be better than ever! I hope...
