I didn't realize that they were brothers! Thanks for sharing the info!

The Yankees are playing Kansas City tonight, if they don't get rained out. The rain's been on and off here all afternoon. Posada is out with a hamstring injury. He's not on the DL, but they're benching him for the next few games, mainly because I think that they don't perceive KC as much of a threat.

He's so cute in those pictures... but they look like they're from the 90's-- so I bet he's even hotter now. I looked him up (haha ) and apparently he was born in '78, which makes him 27-28? That's a hot age for guys, generally. Imdb.com said he was born in Los Angeles... I wonder if he still lives here-- probably. Hmmm... we must find him!

A young California woman was arrested for stalking child-actor Mike Vitar. While being dragged away by police officers, the woman, who goes by the aliases Zia and Lezbo, was heard screaming, "GiGi and SB MADE me!!".

The defendant's attorney, a Mr. Thomas Hagen, says that her defense will be brainwashing via the Internet. "She was living in a fantasy world, conversing with complete strangers via the Internet. They kept sending her photos of Mr. Vitar and telling her that, since she lived in California, she owed it to the 'other ladies' on the board to go find him. The whole purpose of this alleged stalking was to share recent photos of Mr. Vitar with these other 'ladies' that she has sworn some bizarre allegiance to."

That was gold, SB!

And what's so sad is that I was already planning a reply to Zia regarding how she should definitely start a search for him and find us some photos or something...then I read your post and realized that you know me too well!

This line:

Quote:

...should be our motto here.

You're right, though, Zia. Those photos do look old, and I'll bet he's gorgeous now. Maybe there aren't any recent shots available because he got tired of gals like us drooling over him...which means we have to take this into our own hands and send you on a mission, since you've got the best opportunity.

And don't worry. SB and I will be sure to back you up in court.

Glad I could make you smile!! Gina and I are totally with you. We'll bring you Spago pizzas so you don't have to eat prison food, and little morale boosters like that.

I always wonder why child actors stop acting. Do they get not so cute? Is it because they're totally screwed up, mentally? Maybe they get fat? Do you think they CHOOSE not to act any longer? Look at the ridiculous Brady boys. Peter Brady is getting married as a REALITY SHOW??!!

I think it's a combination of all of these...

Except for Mike Vitar. I think he got too cute.

SB, I meant to congratulate your boy Jeter on his 2000th hit! I heard about it on Sportscenter and thought of you.

That was a nothing hit, too! It dribbled into the infield. By all rights, it should've been an out, but KC overthrew the ball, and then there was a wild pitch to the next hitter, and Jeter stole third. Then he managed to come home. His parents were very cute when he got it, too. He waved his batting helmet around to the standing ovation. Can you imagine getting a standing ovation from 50,000 people?

Today's game was great for the boys! Last night's loss was tough, as it went through 18 innings, but today completely made up for it. We were down 4-0 going into the 9th, and we rallied to score 4 in that inning - we sent it to the 10th, scored again, and won it 5-4!

I've been watching the Indiana Jones movies - I'm on the second one, now.

Talk about entertainment.

I love the Indiana Jones series. I hear talk about a 4th one, and I don't understand how they plan on doing it. I mean, has anyone SEEN Harrison Ford lately? He's gotten much older, or is that something they've decided not to notice?

The Yankees had a good weekend, going 3 for 4. I was worried about them against Detroit, since they lost one to KC, and barely squeaked by last night against them. However, they played very well against Detroit today, although my Jeter was taken out after he got hurt sliding into base today. Supposedly, it was just a precaution and he's fine. Keep your fingers crossed!!

A sorry loss today, thanks to the freakin' bullpen (Mike Gallo... ), but this remains a glorious day for Astros fans!

Rocket Man returns!

He sounded so troubled at the press conference - I know it was a difficult decision, but I hate to see him like that. I know he's going to work hard, and I believe he'll do fine...hopefully he'll brighten up once he gets back on the field and realizes how much he missed the spirit and passion of the game.

I'm just so thankful to have him back - it's hard to let a legend like him go, and now I get to hang on a little bit longer. Now it's time for the boys to turn things around and start getting some wins!

I'm sure it was difficult for him to take $13 million for a few months work.

Seriously, Gina, I was very happy for you when I heard the news today. And I'm glad that you'll have him for another year.

The Yankees are winning 1-0 right now after a very, very close shave last night. Great 11th inning, I'll give them that!

Maybe they'll have Jones sort of pass the baton to a younger guy...Johnny Depp would do just fine but is perhaps just a little too old and I don't see him taking what would would have to be second billing to Harrison Ford (who I agree looks absolutely aweful these days...I mean, somebody get the Chamonix !!).

So if they go with that type of formula they'll probably get some young unknown who's got enough years ahead of him to continue with the series.

YIKES!! My boys were doing so well. They were winning 6-3, and now the score is 6-5, and Detroit has two men on and two outs. And it's only the 5th inning!! Phew! At least that inning is over!! Poor Wang was taken out. He's just not having a good year, is he?

I'm watching the pre game show before the Mets game and they're interviewing David Wright. I think I found another cutie to add to the list..hahaha. He seems sweet and really loves the game of baseball. I guess he'll be my new baseball guy to watch beings Vinny is getting old and barely able to get it up.....his bat that is.

Sorry, SB. As a Yankees fan I'm sure you're not exactly into the Mets.

Girls, in honor and preparation of the World Cup starting next week, I thought I'd post some pictures of soccer hotties... Here are two of our very own, from the USA team. Gives a whole new meaning to God Bless America. :p

Carlos Bocanegra,#4-- He has the cutest dimples when he smiles! I'll find a really smiley picture and post it later.

Pablo Mastroeni, #25-- Has his "off" days and his "hot" days. Here's a hot one.

I'll post some more later on, along with some of my favorites from Italy's team and whoever else I remember. If you guys have any favorites, I'd love to see them!

Bethie! Missed seeing you around!

Man, you know I can't argue another cutie being added to our "collection," but you're giving up Vinny?! No way. Say it ain't so!

Zia, God Bless America is right! Thank you! I've never been able to get into soccer - I really admire the fans because they have such great spirit (I mean, they get into it!), but I just can't seem to develop an appreciation of the sport. But if those kind of guys are playing it...don't think it'd hurt to catch a game.

Damn, I can't see Zia's pictures!! All I get are red X's.

Honestly, Beth, the Mets are having a great season. Even though I'm a Yankee fan, they're still a NY team, so am happy, especially after so many crappy years. I just feel bad for Mike Piazza. After contributing so much to the Mets for so many years, if they end up winning the World Series this year, that would totally blow for him.

Right now I'm watching Jerry Maguire. Mr. Babe classifies this movie as a "chick flick in disguise". He says that they throw the sports in so that guys will watch it, but that it's really a chick flick.

And the Yankees won in the 10th last night, thanks to a solo homer by Johnny Damon. Even with Matsui, Sheffield, Giambi and Rodriguez out last night and Posada iffy at best, they've played very well.

Don't worry Gina. I'm not totally giving up on Vinny. He's always there in spirit. But I have to have a person in the flesh to worship, and since I never get to see Vinny play I have to find someone to oggle who is.

I see the scores and see how well SD is doing, and regret that I'm not there to share in their accomplishments.

ALERT!! ALERT!! Derek Jeter is hurt!! My baby!! Say it isn't so!!

He got hit on the thumb by a Baltimore pitcher in Sunday night's game and has been out for two days. Joe Torre says that he's not rushing him back, since this comes on the heels of his sprained wrist.

The Yankees slaughtered Boston last night. Tonight, they've managed to hang onto a 1-1 tie so far. It's still only the 7th, so we'll have to see.

There's no disguise involved...this was one serious, bonafide chick flick. I didn't like it at all, and when I went to see it I remember wondering what the heck all the hype was about, as it and Cruise were getting rave reviews at the time.

And to this day I'm trying to figure out what the heck Cuba Gooding, Jr. did to deserve an Academy Award as Best Supporting Actor.

Did he show them the money???

I thought Jerry Maguire was a sweet and funny movie that made me laugh a bit. It certainly shouldn't have been taken more seriously than that by anyone!!

Great Yankee game last night! One of the best games ever. Along with everyone else, I was astounded by Melky Cabrera's theft of Manny's home run in the 8th. GREAT CATCH!

SB, I got to see Melky's catch on the highlights - wow!

And Bethie, I understand. I'm happy for you and your new man - Vinny will always be there, but you gotta have some back-ups.

My boys are on a four-game win streak, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this to continue. I'm so glad they got out of the funk they were in...

My boys were on a winning streak, and now have lost three in a row. Damn depressing. They tried to make a comeback last night, coming back from 6-1 to end the game 6-5. Just wasn't happening for them. Jeter's back, but only as DH. His injury is still preventing him from throwing. Ah, well....it's only June!

Gina, I forgot to tell you. While I was getting ready for the bb dinner last Wednesday I was watching Seinfeld, and the episode with Fredo the bird was on. When Kramer says, "Fredo was weak and stupid. He should'nt have eaten that key". I laughed, "Look, that's Gina's signature.

Bethie, it's hilarious how often we find ourselves thinking of the BB in "real life," isn't it? We're all addicts. I haven't seen that episode in a while, though...haven't had much time for Seinfeld now that baseball's back.

SB, you know I always wish your boys well, but...this is like a Ladies' Thread war here, and I'd rather not get in the middle of it! It's like an Astros/Dodgers game or something.

Mig could care less now. I'll be surprised if the Tribe wins. Good luck to both teams.
